- O papel estratégico da comunicação interna para o reforço da responsabilidade social interna - Grupo Jerónimo MartinsPublication . Brandão, Nuno Goulart; Peixoto, Luísa SousaO presente artigo procura compreender a forma como os responsáveis de estrutura da Companhia Recheio percecionam os processos e esforços comunicacionais da área de Responsabilidade Social Interna (RSI) definidos pelo Grupo Jerónimo Martins. A problemática em análise motivou uma investigação qualitativa, compreendendo entrevistas exploratórias às responsáveis de Comunicação Interna e de Responsabilidade Social Interna do GJM e os segundos em entrevistas aos elementos decisores do Recheio, respetivamente. Os principais resultados do presente artigo indicam, não só, a cada vez maior necessidade de se apostar em estratégias comunicacionais e socialmente responsáveis que sejam win-win para a organização e para os seus colaboradores. Como também, a necessidade de se assumir a comunicação interna como um processo contínuo, claro, com proximidade e assente na escuta ativa, de modo que seja possível identificar as dificuldades e receios dos colaboradores, realizando-os e satisfazendo-os.
- Soundgarden's “Black Hole Sun”: creation, transformation and metamorphoses, challenging a social idealPublication . Avelar, Mário J.American rock band Soundgarden’s song “Black Hole Sun” is analyzed in an intermediary context of the encounter between music, video and painting. This strategy allows us to understand how the process of creation, transformation and metamorphosis simultaneously reveals a personal perception of the world and a social critique, eventually challenging a social ideal. In a first moment we analyze the lyric text, as a space of projection of the subject, and the music, and the context in which they emerge. In a second moment we analyze the way in which the transposition of music to another aesthetic mode - video -, based on a process of metamorphosis that owes money to painting, allows for a critique of a certain social ideal based on stability and family harmony. Our conclusion shows how the initial lyrical dimension extends into a wider field of questioning a traditional American ethos in which the family stood as a place of social harmony through a process of aesthetic metamorphosis.
- Análise da cobertura de notícias internacionais pelo serviço público de televisão no programa 360º da RTP3Publication . Brandão, Nuno Goulart; Ferreira, Joana FernandesConsiderando a televisão como um dos principais veículos de transmissão de imagens de países estrangeiros e de construção da realidade social, visou-se analisar como as notícias internacionais são retratadas e como os eventos internacionais são selecionados pelo noticiário de horário nobre 360º, transmitido pela RTP3. Neste sentido, a metodologia seguida consistiu na aplicação de uma análise categorial de notícias junto de trinta dias de noticiários, distribuídos ao longo de seis meses de observação, o que possibilitou identificar os principais tópicos retratados nas notícias internacionais produzidas pela RTP3 e a cobertura divergente entre países desenvolvidos e em desenvolvimento. Entre os resultados apurados foi possível encontrar evidências de importância na seleção de assuntos internacionais relacionados com política, desporto e sociedade, tal como do domínio de países ocidentais ou europeus nas notícias do noticiário em estudo.
- Towards the history of indirect translation research: main trends, pending questions and possible lines of future inquiryPublication . Pięta, Hanna; Maia, Rita BuenoThis article concerns indirect translation (ITr), understood braodly as translation of translation (Gambier 1994). ITr is an age-old phenomenon (e.g. the Bible, I Ching, Shakespeare translation or activity of the so-called Toledo School), with widespread use in various areas of today's society (e.g. audiovisual, institutional, literary and news translation; localization; conference and community interpreting) and positive prospects for the foreseeable future (e.g., due to the globalization and the growing need to edit texts via lingua francae, e.g. in international organizations). Despite the traditional neglect in Translation Studies, the phenomenon has been attracting increasingly scholarly attention (especially for the past twenty years, c.f. Pi?ta 2017) and begins to establish itself as a subarea of research within Translation Studies. Time has possibly come to "take the temperature" of ITr research and survey the emergence and development of this subfield of enquiry (thereby contributing to the writing of the history of ITr research). With this in mind, the article will provide an overview of some of the main patterns, unanswered queries in ITr research and explores suggestions for future studies in the field. The overview will follow the 'Five W's and One H' approach. The what question explores the relevance of systemativ studies on ITr. The who question considers the profile of ITr researchers. The where question relates to the geographic spread of ITr research. The when question regards the diachronic evolution of ITr studies. The why question looks into the reasons behind the traditional neglect of ITr in Translation Studies discipline. Finally, the how questions considers selected details of ITr processes as well as methods used in identifying most probable mediating texts and languages. The article will end by considering prospects for (research on) ITr training.

- Misérias e esplendores da tradução no Portugal do estado novoPublication . Seruya, TeresaCom esta coletânea de iniciação a uma história da tradução em Portugal pretende-se, por um lado, chamar a atenção para a inexistência dessa história, uma lacuna notória na nossa cultura, por outro, refletir sobre as suas condições de possibilidade. O Estado Novo, regime ditatorial bem delimitado no tempo, e próximo de investigadores e leitores ainda hoje, revelou-se um laboratório adequado à definição e análise de corpora de traduções, de políticas editoriais, de públicos, bem como à experimentação de metodologias de investigação específicas do objetivo a atingir. Os estudos incluem reflexões sobre historiografia da tradução, mostram a construção do projeto Intercultural Literature in Portugal 1930-2000: a Critical Bibliography, tratam tópicos concretos como as coleções de literatura traduzida, o (des)interesse por literaturas extraeuropeias, a tradução depois da Revolução, a tradução dos Discursos de Salazar, tradução e Censura à Guerra Civil de Espanha, ou a autores como Brecht e Simone de Beauvoir.
