- Art and Society: an artistic and scientific-cultural reflectionPublication . Licursi, Maria Beatriz; Morgado, Elsa Gabriel; Leonido, LeviThis work aims to promote reflections on the relevance of the process of inserting art in social activities. We recognize art as an instrument for acquiring culture and a valuable resource for the evolution of emotional and psychological aspects of the individual. The inclusion of art in social activities can also contribute to the promotion of social inclusion and the reduction of discrimination. Through art, it is possible to explore cultural differences and learn to value diversity, promoting the formation of more united and respectful communities. In this way, it offers the opportunity to add values and support progress in the formation of the individual's structure through artistic experiences of interpretation and expression. We emphasize that Art is an extremely collaborative process for social integration in a more enjoyable way, valuing the human being through its various forms of manifestation. Combining Art and Science, we address artists from the 19th and early 20th centuries who already promoted the dialogue of both cultures in a substantially artistic and cientific way, anticipating what is now proven in serious and extensive research in both arts.
- Education and heritage: memory, identity and educational dynamicsPublication . Morgado, Elsa Maria Gabriel; Licursi, Maria Beatriz; Silva, Levi Leonido Fernandes daObjective: This study aims to develop a critical reflection on the theme under analysis, which invariably relates to the cultural diversity affecting the formation of future generations, their challenges, and opportunities. Theoretical Framework: This work refers to the dichotomous dynamics between education and heritage on a basis of intrinsically dialogic reflection arising from the relational structure between memory and identity and educational dynamics as the epicenter of this same interaction and conceptual deepening. A properly cared for (and lived) cultural heritage provides us with a broad view of the history of a country, a people, or a particular group that, in due time, will actively contribute to the formation of the identity of that country, that people, or group. This cycle determines the formation of groups, social categories, and the recovery of memory, thus triggering a connection between the citizen and their roots. Promoting the preservation, continuity, and informed innovation of current and future interlocutors. Science, technology, and innovation play a preponderant role at various levels and domains of this dialogical matrix between identity, heritage, and cultural dimensions and the educational dimension of commitment to the formation of contemporary and future generations, grounded in an educational perspective aimed at the transformative action of man (and his activity) in the world in which he is inserted and that surrounds him. Method: Narrative literature review, aiming to describe or discuss the current state of the researched topic. Results and Discussion: It is inferred that the relationship between education and heritage is intrinsic, as both are linked to the preservation of the memory and cultural identity of a society. Heritage, whether material or immaterial, is a rich source of knowledge that can be explored in educational contexts to promote understanding of the history and traditions of a people. Research Implications: Certain considerations for reflection and improvement are envisaged for the future, based on the structure and conceptual basis emanating from the authors (and works) of reference that deal with the theme under discussion and reflection. Originality/Value: This review triangulates, in an original way, the relationship between memory, identity, and educational dynamics in the context of education and heritage. Promoting, on the one hand, reflection on the theme and the articulation between areas and, on the other hand, challenging new studies to put into interaction the intersection of knowledge from conceptually close areas in teaching/investigative professional activity.

- Multiple intelligences in an educational context: culturally based abilities and aptitudes in the body-mind binomialPublication . Morgado, Elsa Maria Gabriel; Licursi, Maria Beatriz; Silva, Levi Leonido Fernandes daObjective: The aim of this study is to demonstrate that traditional education, based on psychometric theory, utilizes standardized tests that lead to dissatisfaction due to their selective and exclusionary nature. Meanwhile, the Theory of Multiple Intelligences challenges this approach, contending that standardization benefits some students while harming others. Theoretical Framework: We brought together reference authors in the specific area, as well as others who, through more recent research, have developed studies in educational, cultural and artistic activity in the community, in the area of the arts, culture and their relationship in this field of education, with a direct focus on the universe of the intelligences measured, to be enhanced and reinforced. Method: The methodology adopted for this research comprises a quantitative-qualitative and descriptive study, using a questionnaire (Multiple Intelligences Inventory - MII) with closed questions, developed in a group of schools in the North of Portugal, in which students (n=120) from the different types of education participated: regular, professional and programme for inclusion and citizenship. Results and Discussion: The results showed that the most developed multiple intelligences are Bodily-Kinesthetic and the least developed is Logical-Mathematical learning. Research Implications: The practical and theoretical implications of this research are diverse; among them, the existence of multiple intelligences that manifest themselves equally stands out. The implications include the use of this data for future research in the field of educational intervention for professionals in various areas, mainly in stimulating and reinforcing these indicators and results. Originality/Value: This research is of particular importance as it provides educators and professionals, both in initial training (higher education) and future teachers, as well as for professionals already in the field and educational universes, to intervene in an informed, appropriate and conscious manner in these areas.
- Music, rhythmic gymnastics and expressiveness: an artistic performancePublication . Morgado, Elsa Maria Gabriel; Licursi, Maria Beatriz; Silva, Levi Leonido Fernandes daIn rhythmic gymnastics, we appreciate the brilliant success in a true performing art whose sensitively expressive movements of great technical skill integrated into the music result in an exquisite and refined performance that involves body plasticity, musical receptivity, feelings and emotions. The practice of gymnastics significantly contributes to the development of body movements and musicality, boosting motor and artistic abilities by the acquisition of improved skills for jumping, running and practising different exercises. This study aimed to investigate how music is important in the development of rhythmic gymnastics. A literature review was carried out, including research from 2016 to 2021, published in Google Academic. We emphasise how the body action perfectly integrated into the music is essential for the artistic representation of an enchanting plastic, musical and grandiose beauty. We understand that encouraging physical exercise, especially artistic rhythmic gymnastics, is very important for the development of essential qualities for the individual, such as physical, behavioural, artistic and emotional attributes.
- The role of the teacher: function, missions and timeless purposesPublication . Morgado, Elsa Maria Gabriel; Licursi, Maria Beatriz; Silva, Levi Leonido Fernandes daObjective: The aim of this study is to reflect on the profile and challenges of the teaching profession in a technologically and humanly challenging educational context, with the aim of understanding the relevance and status of the teaching career, as well as assessing and contextualizing the appeal and social commitment of this profession. Theoretical Framework: We brought together leading theorists, methodologists, pedagogues and thinkers related to the world of education and pedagogy, with special emphasis on Portuguese-Brazilian, European and Spanish-American authors. Method: Narrative literature review, seeking to describe or discuss the current state of the research topic. Results and Discussion: The relational triad between the function, the missions and the designs of the teaching function throughout the ages, whose conceptual-reflexive intersection embraces, exposes difficulties and, essentially, points to paths to be trodden in the future by those who (still) respond to the call to embrace a sick career. Implications of the research: In the future, there are certain considerations that can be reflected on and improved, based on the structure and conceptual basis emanating from the reference authors (and works) that deal with the subject under debate and reflection. Originality/Value: This review uniquely promotes reflection on the past (more or less recent) and the present and, above all, identifies some issues to be worked on for the future in this context and in the face of the real and current challenges of the teaching profession, in a socio-economic and socio-political context that is constantly changing, which is largely based on the assumption of the conjectural function of technical-technological conciliation with the interaction and social responsibility of the teacher towards society.
