Este estudo avalia a oferta do Atendimento Educacional Especializado (AEE) no Centro de Educação de Jovens e Adultos (CEJA) Profª Raquel Castro e Silva Miranda, no Ceará, Brasil. A pesquisa, de abordagem qualitativa, analisa os desafios pedagógicos, estruturais, familiares e financeiros enfrentados para garantir uma educação inclusiva de qualidade. Foram realizadas entrevistas semiestruturadas com pais, gestores e professores, além de observações não participantes. Os resultados destacam avanços, como a flexibilidade pedagógica e a valorização da diversidade, mas também apontam lacunas, como a falta de acessibilidade física, formação docente insuficiente e escassez de profissionais de apoio. O estudo conclui que, embora o CEJA demonstre compromisso com a inclusão, são necessários investimentos em infraestrutura, capacitação docente e políticas públicas mais robustas para consolidar uma educação verdadeiramente inclusiva.
This study evaluates the provision of Specialized Educational Assistance (AEE) at the Profª Raquel Castro e Silva Miranda Youth and Adult Education Centre (CEJA) in Ceará, Brazil. The qualitative research analyzes the pedagogical, structural, family and financial challenges faced in guaranteeing quality inclusive education. Semi-structured interviews were conducted with parents, managers and teachers, as well as non-participant observations. The results highlight advances, such as pedagogical flexibility and valuing diversity, but also point to shortcomings, such as a lack of physical accessibility, insufficient teacher training and a shortage of support professionals. The study concludes that, although CEJA demonstrates a commitment to inclusion, investments in infrastructure, teacher training and more robust public policies are needed to consolidate truly inclusive education.
