Abstract(s)
St Paul marked the expansion of Christianity by breaking new ground in proclaiming the Gospel to different peoples. His proclamation of the Gospel to the Corinthians was a proof of this. In order to evangelise this community, Paul immersed himself in its context and tried to enculturate the Gospel. Seen in these terms, Paul testifies to the Corinthians that the resurrection of Jesus Christ was a real event and that is the foundation of the Christian faith and the resurrection of the dead. As such, this biblical study aims to show how Paul made this announcement of Christ's resurrection through a profession of faith, while remaining faithful to the tradition he had received. The study of the context helps us to analyse 1 Cor 15,1-11 and to understand the apostle's intention in transmitting the profession of faith. From this approach, it's appropriate to realise the challenges that the proclamation of the resurrection faces in contemporary times.
