- Oral health literacy and determinants among an elderly community in PortugalPublication . Costa, Helder; Lopes, Pedro; Correia, Maria José; Couto, Patrícia; Silva, Ana Margarida; López-Marcos, Joaquin Francisco; Veiga, NélioHigh average life expectancy has caused an increase in the elderly population and with it arises the need to characterize this population regarding their health and, in particular, their oral health. The purpose of this study was to assess and characterize oral health, oral rehabilitation, oral health literacy, oral health perception and quality of life in a sample of elderly participants of a physical activity program in Portugal. An observational cross-sectional study was designed with a group of 206 individuals. All the individuals were clinically assessed, DMFT, PSR and the plaque index were registered, and a questionnaire was applied in the form of a “face-to-face” interview with questions related to the quality of life related to oral health (GOHAI index and the REALD-30 scale). Of the 206 study participants, 90.3% admit brushing their teeth daily, 6.3% practice daily flossing, and 5.8% had a dental appointment in the last 12 months. Applying the REALD-30 scale, 22.7% have a low level (score 0–14), 43.7% a moderate level (score 15–22) and 33.6% a high level (score 23–29) of oral health literacy. The GOHAI scale reveals that 37.4% have a high self-perception of their oral health. A considerable proportion of the sample studied present a moderate level of oral health literacy. Therefore, educating each person about their oral health when participating in a specific health program and developing proposals for oral health promotion activities should be widely considered as a strategy towards primary prevention. Future oral health literacy sessions should be held in order to improve oral health and quality of life among the community.

Mata, Emanuel João Macedo da; Carvalho, José Carlos da SilvaSão Paulo marcou a expansão do cristianismo desbravando novos caminhos ao anunciar o Evangelho aos diversos povos. O anúncio do Evangelho aos coríntios foi uma prova disso mesmo. Para a evangelização desta comunidade, Paulo mergulhou no seu contexto e procurou inculturar o Evangelho. Neste sentido, Paulo testemunha aos coríntios que a ressurreição de Jesus Cristo foi um acontecimento real e que é o fundamento da fé cristã e da ressurreição dos mortos. Como tal, o presente estudo bíblico tem como objetivo mostrar como é que Paulo fez este anúncio da ressurreição de Cristo, através de uma profissão de fé, mantendo-se fiel à tradição que tinha recebido. O estudo do contexto ajuda-nos a fazer a análise de 1Cor 15,1-11 e a perceber a intenção do apóstolo ao transmitir a profissão de fé. A partir desta abordagem, é oportuno percebermos os desafios que o anúncio da ressurreição enfrenta na contemporaneidade.
- O papel do enfermeiro especialista na promoção da esperança em pais de crianças/jovens com doença crónicaPublication . Peixoto, Ana Catarina Maia; Charepe, Zaida BorgesThis report arises within the scope of the Master's Degree in Nursing in the area of specialization in Child Health and Pediatrics of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa. It aims to analyze and reflect on the acquisition of competencies related to the Nurse Specialist, the Nurse Specialist in Child Health and Pediatrics, and the Master. The promotion of Hope as a Nursing intervention through the therapeutic relationship between the nurse and the child/young person, as well as the respective family, and based on Jean Watson's Theory of Human Care and in complementarity with the Hope promoting mutual aid intervention model of Zaida Charepe. To the scientific evidence on the promotion of hope, a scoping review on the "Ethical issues in the promotion of Hope in parents of children with chronic illness" was conducted. On internment it was possible to follow and understand the complexity of the care provided to children and young people and its impact on the family structure. This learning process provided the Nursing team with a training session in the hope of promoting mutual aid intervention Model, to be given to the Nursing team to be implemented in the service in the future, to help parents through mutual help groups. In the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit, it was possible to monitor and observe the care provided, verifying the impact on the family structure of preterm infants. The learning process led to the creation of communication resources integrated into the baby's diary, promoting the therapeutic dimension of hope in parents. In the Pediatric Emergency Department, it was possible to provide care to children and their families in particularly complex situations. The fragility of families in the face of threats to their children's health allowed them to develop skills in promoting hope with a focus on communicating bad news.
- Automatização da atividade administrativa : enquadramento jurídico e impactos nas garantias e nos direitos fundamentais dos administradosPublication . Carrilho, João Rafael Palmeiro; Calvão, Maria Filipa Pires Urbano da CostaNos últimos anos, a Administração Pública tem vindo a anunciar um crescente investimento na modernização dos seus serviços, apostando, entre outras soluções, na automatização de várias das suas competências. Neste contexto, perante a ausência de legislação específica direcionada à utilização deste tipo de tecnologia, julgou-se necessário um estudo dedicado ao enquadramento jus-administrativo dos algoritmos de decisão automática, bem como uma análise relativa à qualificação e ao regime das decisões assim produzidas, notando ainda, o previsível impacto destas soluções no formato do procedimento administrativo e nos direitos, liberdades e garantias dos particulares. Com este propósito, começaremos por uma exposição sobre os conceitos e disposições aplicáveis ao regulamento e ao ato administrativo, de modo a procurar compreender se os algoritmos de decisão (sobretudo os determinísticos) e os seus resultados podem, ou não, integrar aqueles conceitos e em que medida os seus regimes jurídicos podem ser transpostos para esta realidade. Seguidamente, estudaremos também, as disposições do Regulamento Geral de Proteção de Dados relativas a decisões automáticas individualizadas, bem como os direitos e garantias reconhecidos aos administrados, no âmbito dos procedimentos de adoção de regulamentos e atos administrativos. Neste ponto, procuraremos tomar posição sobre a possível conjugação e adaptação desta regulamentação, de modo a acautelar a conformidade da automatização administrativa com a Dignidade da Pessoa Humana, o princípio do Estado de Direito e os direitos, liberdades e garantias dos particulares.
