Abstract(s)
Nos últimos anos, a importância da língua portuguesa aumentou consideravelmente
em Macau, pelo que houve um aumento rápido do número de escolas secundárias privadas
que passaram a oferecer cursos de português como língua estrangeira. Apesar disso, muitas
dessas instituições estão ainda no início do seu desenvolvimento e há ainda muitas
oportunidades para ensinar a língua-alvo de uma maneira inovadora e eficaz. A fim de
implementar a promoção e a disseminação da língua portuguesa em Macau, é necessário
examinar como o português está a ser atualmente ensinado para que seja possível procurar
métodos de ensino que sejam apropriados e atraentes para alunos das escolas secundárias do
ensino privado.
É conhecido o fato de a comunicação ser uma das maiores fraquezas dos estudantes
chineses na aquisição de línguas estrangeiras. Para além disso, Macau é uma cidade onde há
poucas oportunidades para falar português. Este relatório pretende contribuir para a discussão
sobre como melhorar as competências de comunicação da nova geração através da
articulação da Abordagem Comunicativa com outros métodos de ensino.
In recent years, the importance of the Portuguese language has considerably increased in Macau. As a result, there has been a rapid increase in the number of private secondary schools offering courses of Portuguese as a foreign language. Despite that, many of these institutions are still at the beginning of their development, and there are still many opportunities to teach the target language in an efficient and innovative manner. With a view to implementing the promotion and dissemination of the Portuguese language in Macau, it is necessary to examine how Portuguese is currently taught in order to search for teaching methods that are appropriate and attractive to students at secondary schools. It is known that communication is one of the Chinese students´ biggest weaknesses in foreign language acquisition. Moreover, Macau is a city where there are not many opportunities to speak Portuguese. This report aims to contribute to the discussion on how to improve the new generation’s communication skills through the articulation of the Communicative Approach with other teaching methods.
