Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho surge na sequência do estágio pedagógico na escola Portuguesa de
Macau, realizado no âmbito do Mestrado em Português Língua Estrangeira/Língua
Segunda e pretende, para além do relato desta experiência, dar conta de uma reflexão
por ela suscitada, nomeadamente acerca do uso de manuais no ensino de Português
Língua Estrangeira (PLE) de nível básico (níveis A1/A2) no contexto escolar
secundário de Macau. Inicia-se com uma observação geral acerca do contexto de
ensino e aprendizagem de língua portuguesa em Macau, tendo em conta as diferentes
medidas que o governo de Macau realiza para a promoção da língua portuguesa, a
motivação dos aprendentes de língua e a metodologia que os docentes normalmente
aplicam no ensino de língua estrangeira em contexto escolar. Depois, desenvolve-se
um estudo da importância do manual de PLE para o ensino e aprendizagem de língua,
especialmente para os aprendentes de nível elementar, tendo em consideração a minha
experiência na aprendizagem de língua e a minha observação durante o estágio na
escola secundária em Macau. Além disso, propõe uma análise comparativa de três
manuais de PLE utilizados nas escolas secundárias de Macau e é acompanhada de um
inquérito a docentes de português no ensino secundário em Macau. A análise visa
demonstrar como os diferentes conteúdos estão pensados e organizados nos diferentes
manuais. É ainda possível observar concordâncias entre as considerações recolhidas na
análise dos manuais e os resultados do inquérito, evidenciando assim o papel do
manual de PLE no ensino e aprendizagem de português em Macau. Apresentam-se
ainda algumas reflexões para a elaboração de outros manuais de PLE para o contexto
de Macau.
The present work follows the pedagogical internship at the Portuguese school in Macau, carried out within the framework of the Master in Portuguese as a Foreign Language / Second Language and intends, in addition to reporting this experience, to reflect on a reflection it has raised, namely on the use of manuals in the teaching of Portuguese as a Foreign Language (PLE) at a basic level (levels A1 / A2) in the secondary school context of Macao. It begins with a general observation of the context of teaching and learning Portuguese in Macau, taking into account the different measures that the government of Macau takes to promote the Portuguese language, the motivation of language learners and the methodology that teachers usually apply in teaching foreign language in a school context. Then, a study is carried out on the importance of the PLE manual for language teaching and learning, especially for elementary level learners, taking into account my experience in language learning and my observation during the internship in secondary school in Macao. In addition, it proposes a comparative analysis of three PLE manuals used in secondary schools in Macau and is accompanied by a survey of Portuguese teachers in secondary education in Macau. The analysis aims to demonstrate how the different contents are thought and organized in the different manuals. It is also possible to observe agreement between the considerations collected in the analysis of the manuals and the results of the survey, thus highlighting the role of the PLE manual in the teaching and learning of Portuguese in Macau. Some reflections are also presented for the elaboration of other PLE manuals for the Macau context.
