Abstract(s)
O presente Relatório enquadra e documenta, do ponto de vista artístico, teórico e técnico, todas as etapas do processo de desenvolvimento e concretização da curta-metragem de ficção “A Mulher Projectada”, por nós realizada no âmbito da unidade curricular de Projecto Final do Mestrado em Cinema. Trabalharam-se na referida curta-metragem as ideias e os topos a que aqui é dado o devido contexto artístico e teórico, mostrando-se nuclear, no presente Projecto, a problematização da Monogamia enquanto convenção historicamente sedimentada e as suas implicações tanto no plano externo da vida social, como no plano interno da autonomia e livre expressão do indivíduo. O presente Relatório detalha o processo de produção e realização desde o momento inicial em que sobrevieram as ideias fundantes do Projecto. Sendo a principal delas a problematização da Monogamia, é-lhe dedicada um capítulo próprio no qual abordamos a configuração do amor como um sólido de muitas e complexas faces, um sólido, portanto, de geometria variável. Fazemo-lo do ponto de vista teórico e contextualizando o tema no âmbito de numerosos filmes (diversos na época, estilo, discurso, forma) na história do cinema. Posteriormente, explicitamos o tratamento cinematográfico e artístico que se procurou imprimir ao filme, seguido de uma descrição e reflexão detalhada das suas diferentes etapas de desenvolvimento (pré-produção, rodagem, pós-produção) e respectivo cronograma de execução. Laborando no terreno do melodrama, do mistério e do suspense, o filme e a investigação espelhada no presente Relatório procuram, assim, sondar um tema que, tão antigo como o mundo, não podia ser mais contemporâneo.
This Report frames and documents all stages of the process of developing and directing the fiction short film “A Mulher Projectada” [The Projected Woman”] from an artistic, theoretical and technical point of view. The film was produced as the Final Project for the conclusion of the Master in Cinema. In this short film, we worked the ideas and the topos to which we now describe their artistic and theoretical context. It is central for the Project the problematization of Monogamy as an historical rooted social convention and its effects both on the external side of social life, as on the personal sphere of autonomy and free expression of the individual. This Report details the production and implementation process from the very initial moment when the Project's founding ideas arised. As Monogamy presents a central role in the Project, there is a specific a chapter dedicated to it and in which we approach the configuration of Love as a dimensional figure with many and complex faces. As a figure, therefore, with a changeable geometry. We do so from a theoretical point of view and by contextualizing the theme within numerous films (distinct in style, shape, discourse and also the specific era they were crafted) in the history of cinema. Then, we explain the cinematographic and artistic treatment that we sought to apply to the film, followed by a detailed description and reflection on its different stages of development (pre-production, shooting, post-production) and its execution timeline. Playing in the fields of melodrama, mystery and suspense, the film and the research mirrored in this Report try to delve into a theme that, as old as the world itself, could not be more contemporary.
