Abstract(s)
A Nova Reforma Penal de 1884 veio abolir a pena de prisão perpétua. Contudo, apesar de abolida não deixa, infelizmente, de ser trazida à colação por todos aqueles que defendem uma (suposta) humanidade e dignidade.
Aquilo que se pretende é esclarecer que não se retira nenhuma utilidade à pena perpétua, pois também o infrator tem dignidade pelo simples facto de ser pessoa! Apesar de cansados discutir um tema que não é tema, tornase premente trazer uma arguição clara que explique porque é que não é tema, que perdure no tempo, para que não se silencie a voz dos condenados e se deixe de utilizar a prisão perpétua como arma de arremesso em eleições e «discussões de café».
The New Penal Reform of 1884 abolished the sentence of life imprisonment. However, despite being abolished, it is, unfortunately, brought to the fore by all those who defend a (supposed) humanity and dignity. What is intended is to clarify that the sentence of life imprisonment is not useful, since the criminal also has dignity, for the simple fact of being a person! Despite being tired of discussing a topic that is not a topic, it becomes urgent to bring a clear argument that it explains why it is not a topic, that it lasts in time, for that the voice of the condemned ones to prevail and for to stop using life imprisonment as a weapon in elections and «coffee matters».
