Abstract(s)
Nesta dissertação faz-se uma abordagem à leitura de partituras, competência
desenvolvida na disciplina de Formação Musical. Após uma análise bibliográfica
acerca da leitura desenvolveu-se um Estudo de Caso. Este teve a duração de dez aulas
de sessenta minutos cada e foi aplicado à turma do 1º CBI da EPMVC, sendo esta
uma turma que estava a iniciar a aprendizagem musical.
A escolha do tema deriva da aparente falta de destreza, por parte dos alunos,
na descodificação da linguagem musical. Para a investigação, a pesquisa centrou-se
na leitura de textos e partituras servindo para aferir se os mecanismos de leitura são
semelhantes. O Estudo desenvolvido foi de carácter qualitativo e a análise dos seus
resultados foi realizada em três grupos distintos consoante as habilitações musicais
prévias.
O objetivo final foi fornecer aos alunos a competência de conseguir entoar
uma melodia com o nome de notas. O Estudo de Caso foi intitulado de “Olimpíadas
da Leitura”, dado que este teve vários desafios. Esta atividade foi dividida em aulas
pelos respetivos temas – movimento sonoro, as notas musicais e série de notas – e por
provas de carácter lúdico, para verificar se os objetivos propostos para cada tema
foram alcançados com sucesso. No entanto, também se pretendem verificar se as
atividades propostas foram proveitosas para a aprendizagem da leitura musical. Os
resultados obtidos mostraram que as diversas atividades foram profícuas, dando aos
alunos diversos desafios pelas diferentes provas e obtendo resultados positivos nos
três grupos de análise. O objetivo final do Estudo de Caso foi alcançado por todos
alunos, sendo ainda necessário melhorar alguns aspetos como a aplicação das
dinâmicas.
Com esta investigação pretendeu-se contribuir para o desenvolvimento
pedagógico da disciplina de Formação Musical e para a diversificação de materiais da
disciplina em questão, visto que existem poucas investigações realizadas neste
âmbito.
This dissertation is concerned with score reading, a skill developed during Ear Training lessons. After a bibliographic analysis about learning how to read a Study Case was started. This study lasted ten lessons of sixty minutes each and was applied to a seventh grade class at the Professional Music School of Viana do Castelo, whose students were starting to learn music. This theme was chosen because of the students’ apparent lack of ability to decode musical language. To undertake this investigation, the research was centred in the reading of texts and music scores, in order to understand if the mechanisms used in both situations are similar or not. The Study Case had a qualitative character and the analysis of the results was carried out in three different groups, which were divided according to their previous musical abilities. The final goal was to teach the students the ability to sing a melody naming its notes. The designation of the activity was “Olimpíadas da Leitura” (“Reading Olympics”) and it included several challenges. The activity was divided into different lessons according to different themes – sonorous movement, musical notes and series of notes. Some games and extra challenges were also organized to verify if the proposed aims were achieved with success. These also aimed to verify if the activity had a positive impact in the process of learning how to read music. The results showed that the different activities were fruitful for the students, giving them different challenges throughout the different activities, with positive results in the three groups being analysed. All students achieved the final goal of this case study. Nevertheless, some aspects, like dynamic applications, need improvement. This work aims to contribute to the pedagogic development of Ear Training and to the diversification of the materials available for this school subject, facing the fact that there is not much investigation in this field.
