Abstract(s)
O presente Relatório Final da Prática de Ensino Supervisionada (PES) pretende
refletir sobre a presença dos avós nas famílias e também na sociedade, realçando o seu
papel na transmissão de tradições, valores, partilha de memórias às gerações jovens e,
similarmente, o acompanhamento na educação dos netos. Os avós são um dos elementos
constituintes das famílias e, por conseguinte, são as raízes de que cada família precisa para
perpetuar as gerações futuras.
Pelos estudos sociológicos em relação à instituição da família, verificam-se
mutações, pois a sociedade também se tem vindo a modificar nas últimas décadas,
influenciando as instituições integrantes como a Família, Escola e também a Igreja. Neste
sentido, o presente relatório reflete algumas dessas mudanças, principalmente o aumento
do envelhecimento da população e declínio da taxa de natalidade. Este relatório também se
dedica à necessidade do diálogo intergeracional, pois é uma das características atuais,
devido às alterações demográficas.
Perante o conteúdo seis, “o lugar dos mais velhos no ambiente familiar” da Unidade
Letiva 3: Família, Comunidade de Amor do 5.ºano de escolaridade é possível explorar,
com os alunos, a presença dos avós nas suas vidas e a relação que mantêm com os mesmos,
motivando para o fortalecimento das relações intergeracionais.
Através da área curricular de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica (EMRC), a
escola usufrui de um espaço privilegiado para desenvolver o conteúdo sobre a família, não
só por ter um cariz sociológico e espiritual, mas também porque a família é uma instituição
inserida no sistema educativo. Nesse sentido, apresenta-se uma proposta didática, com
atividades para sublinhar a importância da função dos avós nas famílias, mas também
proporcionar o diálogo intergeracional, envolvendo a comunidade escolar.
This Final Report of Supervised Teaching Pratice reflects upon the presence of grandparents within the family unit and society in general, highlighting their role in passing on traditions and values, in sharing with younger generations, and, similarly the upbringing of their grandchildren. Grandparents are an integral part of the family and, therefore, the roots needed to perpetuate future generations in each and every family. Sociological studies of the family have shown changes within both families and society throughout the past decades, as well as in school and church. This report analyses some of these changes, namely an increasingly aging population and decreasing birth rates. It also focuses on the urgency of developing intergenerational dialogue, one of the current characteristics due to demographic changes. In Unit 3, The family: a community of love, subtopic 6, Where the elderly stand within the family household, in the 5th grade syllabus, one can explore among the students how close they are to their grandparents and thus help strengthen intergenerational connections. In Catholic Religious Education (EMRC), schools have a privileged setting to develop the content Family not only because of its sociological and spiritual nature, but also because Family is part of the Educational System itself. In this sense, the unit plan here presented suggests a set of activities meant to emphasise the role of the grandparents in the family and promote the intergenerational dialogue by involving all school community members.
