| dc.description.abstract | O presente trabalho corresponde a uma dissertaĆ§Ć£o acadĆ©mica intitulada de āCaminhos de TransformaĆ§Ć£o: O papel do Educador Social no Desenvolvimento Pessoal e Social do Antigo Combatenteā, conducente Ć obtenĆ§Ć£o do grau de mestre em CiĆŖncias da EducaĆ§Ć£o com especializaĆ§Ć£o em Pedagogia Social, da Universidade CatĆ³lica do Porto na Faculdade de EducaĆ§Ć£o e Psicologia. A Pedagogia Social serve como referencial teĆ³rico, enquanto CiĆŖncia da EducaĆ§Ć£o que se centra no desenvolvimento humano e social, para entender o papel do Educador Social no processo de Desenvolvimento Pessoal e Social dos Antigos Combatentes. Assim, foram estabelecidos trĆŖs objetivos principais, que passam por identificar e analisar as instituiƧƵes de Antigos Combatentes que tĆŖm equipas de apoio ao seu desenvolvimento pessoal e social; as prĆ”ticas sociopedagĆ³gicas dessas equipas tĆ©cnicas junto dos Antigos Combatentes e as perceƧƵes dos diferentes atores envolvidos. Do ponto de vista empĆrico, optou-se por uma metodologia de caracter qualitativa, tendo por base o recurso Ć pesquisa documental e Ć inquiriĆ§Ć£o dos atores. Esta abordagem metodolĆ³gica atravĆ©s de diferentes tĆ©cnicas e da inquiriĆ§Ć£o de diferentes atores, a diferentes nĆveis, permitiu cruzar e complementar informaƧƵes, favorecendo uma anĆ”lise mais sĆ³lida sobre a realidade de intervenĆ§Ć£o social e sobre as perceƧƵes dos diversos envolvidos, conferindo ao estudo uma profundidade analĆtica que aumentou a validade e a compreensĆ£o dos fenĆ³menos observados. Os dados recolhidos e analisados evidenciam e reforƧam a relevĆ¢ncia da intervenĆ§Ć£o do Educador Social na vida dos Antigos Combatentes. Este profissional tem a capacidade de oferecer uma intervenĆ§Ć£o prĆ³xima e personalizada, respeitando a individualidade de cada pessoa, e utilizando ferramentas e tĆ©cnicas fundamentais como a empatia e a escuta ativa, que sĆ£o cruciais para trabalhar com estas pessoas. | por |
| dc.description.abstract | This work corresponds to an academic dissertation entitled āPaths of Transformation: The Role of the Social Educator in the Personal and Social Development of Former Combatantsā, leading to the award of a masterās degree in educational sciences with a specialisation in Social Pedagogy, from the Catholic University of Porto in the Faculty of Education and Psychology. Social Pedagogy serves as a theoretical reference, as a Science of Education that focuses on human and social development, to understand the role of the Social Educator in the process of Personal and Social Development of Former Combatants. Thus, three main objectives were established: to identify and analyse the institutions for former combatants that have support teams for their personal and social development; the socio-pedagogical practices of these technical teams with former combatants; and the perceptions of the different actors involved. From an empirical point of view, we opted for a qualitative methodology, based on documentary research and interviews with stakeholders. This methodological approach, using different techniques and interviewing different actors at different levels, made it possible to cross-reference and complement information, favoring a more solid analysis of the reality of social intervention and the perceptions of the various people involved, giving the study an analytical depth that increased the validity and understanding of the phenomena observed. The data collected and analyse highlights and reinforces the relevance of the Social Educator's intervention in the lives of former combatants. This professional has the ability to offer a close and personalized intervention, respecting the individuality of each person and using fundamental tools and techniques such as empathy and active listening, which are crucial when working with these people. | eng |
