A cobertura da campanha eleitoral para as Legislativas de 2022 no Jornal da Noite da SIC

| dc.description.abstract | A presente investigação tem como objetivo entender a forma como foi realizada a cobertura da campanha eleitoral para as eleições legislativas de 2022 nas reportagens do Jornal da Noite da SIC, sendo, para tal, realizada uma análise de conteúdo das reportagens transmitidas durante os últimos sete dias de campanha. É avaliado o número de reportagens, a duração e a hora de emissão das mesmas, o protagonismo dos intervenientes, o nível de mediação jornalística, o estilo, o enquadramento, o tom e os temas sobre os quais versam. Os resultados da investigação demonstram que os dois maiores partidos políticos portugueses, o PS e o PSD, foram privilegiados na cobertura das respetivas campanhas eleitorais. São estes partidos que surgem primeiro no alinhamento do Jornal da Noite, contam com reportagens com maior duração do que os restantes e, nos dias analisados, registam sempre reportagens transmitidas em direto em complemento às reportagens em diferido. Em geral, com exceção das reportagens transmitidas em diferido sobre o CDS, registouse um tom maioritariamente neutro. O estilo foi quase totalmente narrativo-descritivo e o enquadramento principal foi o “jogo-estratégia”, sendo apenas as reportagens sobre o CHEGA predominantemente enquadradas em “substância”. Conclui-se também que os líderes dos partidos políticos foram os protagonistas principais das reportagens, que, regra geral, contam com mais tempo de voz-off dos jornalistas do que de declarações de intervenientes políticos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | This research aims to understand how the coverage of the electoral campaign for the 2022 parliamentary elections was done in the reports of SIC's Jornal da Noite and, for that, a content analysis of the reports broadcasted during the last seven days of the campaign was carried out. The number of reports, their duration and time of emission, the prominence of the actors, the level of journalistic mediation, the style, the framing, the tone and the themes they deal with are evaluated. The research results show that the two major portuguese political parties, PS and PSD, were privileged in the coverage of their respective electoral campaigns. These are the parties that appear first in the line-up of Jornal da Noite, have longer reports than the others and, on the days analysed, always register live broadcasted reports as a complement to deferred reports. In general, with the exception of the deferred reports on the CDS party, a mostly neutral tone was registered. The style was almost entirely narrative-descriptive and the main framing was "game-strategy", with only the reports on CHEGA being predominantly framed in "substance". It is also concluded that the leaders of the political parties were the main protagonists of the reports, which, as a rule, rely more on journalists' voiceover than on statements of political actors. | pt_PT |
