O presente trabalho tem como base de estudo a população que recorre ao Serviço de Apoio Alimentar promovido pelo Banco Alimentar e dinamizado por entidades de carácter social. Trata-se portanto de um estudo desenvolvido à volta dos conceitos de pobreza e exclusão social, na procura de compreender os seus significados, aproximações e distanciamentos, mas mais concretamente quais as influências que poderão ocorrer nas vidas dos indivíduos e famílias que vivenciam estes ambientes de vulnerabilidade. No âmbito de um estudo dedicado a estes fenómenos, pretende-se conhecer a realidade sob uma perspetiva em que se pretende captar as trajetórias de vida das famílias e indivíduos, conduzindo a uma maior compreensão acerca das suas perceções acerca dos apoios alimentares tentando obter desta forma uma compreensão mais aproximada de como é que organizam os seus pensamentos, vivem e o que sentem relativamente a si e à sua ligação com a realidade em que vivem. Assim, tornou-se pertinente realizar sete entrevistas a homens e mulheres apoiados pelos Serviços de Apoio Alimentar para compreender melhor o que pensam sobre o serviço.
The present study is dedicated and based in the beneficiaries of the Support Food Service promoted by Banco Alimentar and streamlined by social institutions. It’s a study developed in turn of the concepts of poverty and social exclusion, to reach their meaning when they stand together or are apart, but is to understand also how they influence the life’s of the individuals and families who live in the state of vulnerability. In this investigation dedicated to these phenomena, it is necessary to know the trajectories of live of families and individuals, to understand what they think about Support Food Service and knowing how they organize their thoughts, live and how they feel about themselves and what’s the connection they have with their reality. It was important to do this investigation with the collaboration of seven people (man and women) beneficiaries of Support Food Service to understand clearly what they think about the service.
