This Final Report is part of the conclusion of the Master´s Degree in Music Education at the Catholic University of Porto, in the School of Arts, with the objective of demonstrating my academic and professional journey developed at the Academy of Music in Elvas. This Report is divided into two main parts: firstly, I address the key points of my Professional Project (PIP) in the form of a scientific article. Regarding my Professional Practice, I taught and observed the classes of my Cooperating Teachers, Nuno Roque, in relation to the 2nd Cycle classes in the subject of Music Theory, as well as those of Professor Luís Zagalo, in relation to the Secondary School classes in Music Theory and History of Culture and the Arts. As for my Pedagogical Intervention Project, it involves the practical and playful implementation of an activity based on a game called Peddy Paper. The central question of my PIP is as follow: How can Secondary School students in the Artistic and Specialized Music Education courses be motivated, in the areas of Music Theory and History of Culture and the Arts, with a central focus on the appreciation of Portuguese Cultural, Artistic, Theatrical and Musical Heritage, with special emphasis on the Heritage of the city of Elvas? Throughout the project, under the guidance of the Teacher Maria do Rosário de Sousa, I attempt to find solutions that address the question posed. This entire Report, therefore, aims to reflect on the various learnings acquired, differentiated teaching methods, challenges, and solutions found throughout my training and educational practice.
