| dc.description.abstract | As Perturbações da Alimentação e da Ingestão, aqui designadas por Perturbações do Comportamento Alimentar (PCA) são uma questão de saúde pública, habitualmente, com início na adolescência (American Psychiatric Association, 2014). A sua etiologia é multifatorial (Fairburn, Cooper, Doll & Welch, 1999; Murray et al., 2017). Estas perturbações têm sido particularmente estudadas no sexo feminino, pelo que se torna pertinente, compreender quais os fatores que predispõe os indivíduos do sexo masculino para o desenvolvimento de uma PCA. Objetivo: Explorar o papel das relações interpessoais na vulnerabilização para o desenvolvimento das PCA nos homens. Método: Neste estudo, participaram 35 sujeitos, 12 homens e 23 mulheres com o diagnóstico atual de uma PCA. Para avaliar os fatores de risco (FR) das PCA, foram administradas duas entrevistas Eating Disorders Examination (Fairburn & Cooper, 2000) e Risk Factors for Eating Disorders: Interview Schedule (Fairburn & Welch, 1990). Resultados: Os FR relativos às relações interpessoais identificados no desenvolvimento das PCA que mais se associaram ao sexo masculino foram FR associados às Características Pessoais, FR associados à Família e FR associados aos Pares. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | Eating Disorders (ED) are a public health issue which usually begin in adolescence (American Psychiatric Association, 2014). Its etiology is multifactorial (Fairburn, Cooper, Doll & Welch, 1999; Murray et al., 2017). These disorders have been particularly studied in females. It is therefore relevant to understand the risk factors that may predispose males to develop a ED. Objective: Understand the role of interpersonal relationships in the development of ED in adult men. Method: 35 individuals, 12 men and 23 women with current diagnosis of an ED were evaluated during this study. To assess the risk factors (RF), two interviews were administered, the Eating Disorders Examination (Fairburn & Cooper, 2000) and the Risk Factors for Eating Disorders: Interview Schedule (Fairburn & Welch, 1990). Results: The RF related with the interpersonal relationships identified that were more associated with males were: RF associated to the Personal Characteristics, RF associated with the Family and RF associated with Pairs. | pt_PT |
