Abstract(s)

The sample consists of 171 workers from the Baby-Boomer generation, born between 1943-1965, from various sectors of activity. For the procedure of data collection and analysis, a questionnaire was used and later analyzed in SPSS 25.0 software. The results show a significant and positive relationship between meta-stereotypes and stereotype threat. In turn, it is concluded that the variable intergenerational contact does not assume a moderating role in the relationship between meta-stereotypes and stereotype threat. The main conclusions of this study alert us to the urgent need to demystify misconceptions about older workers in order to maintain a good working environment and consequently facilitate the success of the company.
