No âmbito do Mestrado em Ciências Religiosas e para conclusão da Prática de
Ensino Supervisionada (PES) realizada no Agrupamento de Escolas Monte da Lua, no
ano letivo de 2018/2019, apresento este Relatório Finalsobre uma figura ímpar da história
da Igreja em Portugal, Padre Abel Varzim – um ser livre que libertou os outros.
Tendo como base de trabalho a Unidade Letiva 3 do manual do 8º ano, do
Programa de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica, “Liberdade”, e constatando que a
maioria dos alunos encara a liberdade, unicamente, como um processo individual,
proponho, neste trabalho, desenvolver uma proposta programática e pedagógica que vise
mostrar a relação existente entre a liberdade e o bem comum. Assim, acentua-se a ideia
que ser-se livre é muito mais que um percurso pessoal, é servir os outros e contribuir para
o bem comum.
Perante estas premissas, apresento uma nova proposta programática e pedagógica
assente no exemplo de vida e obra do Padre Abel Varzim, com o intuito de enfatizar a
particularidade da visão, cultura e agir cristão, que compreende a liberdade na realização
pessoal e no serviço aos outros. Para tal, foi delineado um itinerário pedagógico, onde
prevalece o património religioso, o jornal O trabalhador, valorizando o diálogo entre a
cultura e a fé.
É nosso papel, enquanto docentes, orientar os alunos no seu projeto de vida, e
facultar-lhes ferramentas para serem cidadãos conscientes, maduros e responsáveis. Darlhes a conhecer a liberdade como busca pessoal, permite-lhes ir ao encontro de si mesmo.
Mas, transmitir-lhes a vivência da liberdade como dimensão relacional, é responsabilizálos para a defesa da dignidade humana, a abertura ao outro e à construção de um mundo
melhor.
Within the scope of the Master's Degree in Religious Sciences and for the conclusion of the Supervised Teaching Practice (PES) held at the Monte da Lua School Group, in the academic year 2018/2019, I present this Final Report on a unique figure in the history of the Church in Portugal, Father Abel Varzim - a free being who liberated others. Based on the teaching unit 3 of the 8th grade manual, of the Catholic Moral and Religious Education Program, “Liberdade”, and noting that most students see freedom solely as an individual process, I propose, in this work , develop a programmatic and pedagogical proposal that aims to show the relationship between freedom and the common good. Thus, the idea is emphasized that to be free is much more than a personal journey, it is to serve others and contribute to the common good. Given these premises, I present a new programmatic and pedagogical proposal based on the example of Father Abel Varzim's life and work, in order to emphasize the particularity of the vision, culture and Christian action, which includes freedom in personal fulfillment and in service to others. To this end, a pedagogical itinerary was outlined, where the religious heritage, the newspaper O Worker, prevails, valuing the dialogue between culture and faith. It is our role, as teachers, to guide students in their life project, and to provide them with tools to be conscious, mature and responsible citizens. Making them aware of freedom as a personal search allows them to find themselves but transmitting to them the experience of freedom as a relational dimension. Also, is to make them responsible for the defense of human dignity, openness to the other and to building a better world
