Abstract(s)
Nowadays, school has an increasingly important role in children’s education and their training, as well. School should prepare them to be successful, without forgetting to include children with severe intellectual Disabilities (II). This work focus on Down syndrome (DS) , since I have felt the need to study this issue further because of the lack of knowledge and difficulties I have encountered in the classroom. The aim of this work is to study the inclusion of children with SD in regular schools and thus as teachers to improve the teaching methodology and forms of organization. This is a theoretical and practical study, based on information related to the disease and it is a critical reflection on the experience of our pedagogical practice. So, we set out to study the specificity of an educational context and to understand educational practices adopted to respond to a student with permanent special educational needs (SEN). In our professional activity with students with SEN, we have noticed that the practice of sports activities helps improve life quality, promotes self-esteem and self-achievement and makes the social inclusion more effective.
