Abstract(s)
O presente relatório de estágio insere-se no âmbito da Unidade Curricular “Estágio Final e Relatório” do 16º curso de mestrado em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica, na área da pessoa em situação crítica, da Escola de Enfermagem do Instituto de Ciências da Saúde da Universidade Católica Portuguesa do Porto. Este trabalho reflete o percurso realizado ao longo dos contextos de estágios numa Unidade de Cuidados Intensivos e no Instituto Nacional de Emergência Médica. A elaboração do mesmo foi realizada com o objetivo de expor uma análise das competências adquiridas enquanto futura enfermeira especialista em ambos os contextos de estágio, tendo em conta os objetivos que defini e os objetivos propostos no guia de estágio à luz das competências específicas do enfermeiro especialista em enfermagem médico-cirúrgica na área da pessoa em situação crítica. O relatório segue uma metodologia crítico-reflexiva e descritiva das atividades desenvolvidas durante os estágios, atendo à evidencia científica mais atual e à minha experiência profissional, com o objetivo de demonstrar a aquisição de competências especializadas. Na passagem por ambos os contextos descritos acima, foram desenvolvidas competências na prestação de cuidados à pessoa em situação crítica e família, mais especificamente, competências: na gestão de recursos humanos e materiais, no respeito pelo direito e defesa da dignidade humana, em competências comunicacionais, na gestão e prestação de cuidados à pessoa em situação crítica, na gestão de cuidados em situações de emergência, exceção e catástrofe, na prevenção e controlo de infeção nos cuidados de saúde, e, na melhoria continua da qualidade dos contextos. Assim, consegui promover uma prática de cuidados eficiente e segura à pessoa em situação crítica, tendo em conta as questões éticas no âmbito da prestação de cuidados, promovi o estabelecimento de uma relação terapêutica com a pessoa e família, mas também elaborei trabalhos complementares, tais como uma revisão integrativa da literatura sobre o tema, uma contextualização teórica de um tema ao interesse e uma proposta de melhoria ao serviço. A realização deste relatório permitiu consolidar e registar o percurso de aquisição e desenvolvimento de competências relacionadas com a pessoa e família em situação crítica, atingindo assim os objetivos propostos com sucesso.
This Internship Report is part of the curricular subject “Final Internship and Report”, of the 16th Master’s Degree Course in Medical-Surgical Nursing, in the area/matter of People in Critical Situations, of the Nursing School of the Institute of Health Sciences of the Universidade Católica Portuguesa from Porto city. This report reflects the journey carried out during the internship contexts in an Intensive Care Unit and at the National Institute of Medical Emergency. During the current report it is intended to emphasize and analyse the skills and competences acquired while becoming a specialized nurse in both contexts of the internship, taking into account the goals and objectives that I set for myself but also in line with objectives one proposed for the internship guide regarding specific skills for such specialist nurse. In addition, this report follows a critical-reflective and descriptive methodology of the activities engaged during the internship, accounting the most current scientific evidence and my professional experience to demonstrate the acquisition of the specialized skills. During both contexts of the internship, was developed competences regarding the provision of care to the critically ill person and to their family, more specifically, skills: in the management of human and material resources, in respecting for the right and defence of human dignity, communication skills, in management and provision of care for people in critical situations, in management of care while in emergency, exception and catastrophe situations, prevention and control of infection during healthcare, and in continuous improvement of quality for these contexts. Therefore, have managed to promote an efficient and safe care practice for people in critical situations, bearing in mind ethical issues for the provision of care and promote the establishment of therapeutic relationship with the person and his family. Moreover, carry out complementary work such as an integrative review of the literature, a theoretical contextualization for a topic of interest and elaborate a proposal for improvement of the service. Lastly, the completion of this report allowed me to consolidate, record and reflect about the process and the path of development of such competences related to the person and family in a critical situation, leading to a successful achieving of the proposed goals and objectives for Internship.
