Abstract(s)
Rolland, tal como é encontrado em The Teaching of Action in String Playing (1974),
and Remedial Techniques for Violin and Viola , idealizados para o ensino de
movimentos corporais.
This essay has two fundamental purposes: the first is the presentation and dissemination of Paul Rolland's technical and pedagogical method, as found in "The Teaching of Action in String Playing" (1974), the second aims to apply his "Action Studies , Development and Remedial Techniques for Violin and Viola, idealized for teaching stringed instruments such as Violin, Viola, Cello and Double Bass, in collective classes. These works encompass all the topics considered relevant by Paul Rolland, for the teaching of strings during musical initiation as well as for instrument basic education. With these contributions, important and substantial techniques for learning the Cello are presented, which can be applied in practice. The "Action Studies", represent a sequence of exercises, created to improve technique and performance, contemplating all its phases of learning. Rolland's method is pedagogically unique, because it values basic concepts and ideas (not just notes and songs), developing an essential awareness for body movements.
