O trabalho desenvolvido assenta na necessidade de recolher repertório adequado à nova
realidade do Ensino Especializado da Música - a inserção da disciplina de Canto no Ensino
Básico. Tendo em conta as diferenças dos sistemas respiratório e fonador das crianças e
adolescentes em relação aos dos adultos assim como características importantíssimas como a
mudança de voz, foi elaborado um Manual para a Disciplina de Canto que reúne repertório
ajustado a este nível de ensino. Os géneros selecionados para a secção das peças foram o Pop
e o Rock enveredando numa abordagem mais contemporânea e ao gosto desta geração de
alunos por forma a promover maior interesse na disciplina. Por outro lado, para a secção de
estudos para voz foi selecionado repertório a partir de métodos antigos, com eficácia
reconhecida. Pretende-se, com esta proposta de Manual/repertório, tornar o ensino do Canto
acessível a crianças do Ensino Básico abolindo, neste nível, o repertório existente de teor
exclusivamente lírico transferindo-o para o Ensino Secundário e Superior. Esta dissertação
interessa a professores de canto e pretende ser o início de uma abordagem mais abrangente ao
repertório para canto.
The work developed is based on the need to collect adequate repertoire for the new reality of Specialized Music Education - the insertion of the subject of Singing in Basic Education. Taking into account the differences in the respiratory and vocal systems of children and adolescents in relation to adults, as well as important characteristics such as voice change, a Handbook for a Singing Discipline has been developed that brings together a repertoire adjusted to this level of education. The genres selected for the section of the pieces were Pop and Rock moving in a more contemporary approach and to the taste of this generation of students in order to promote greater interest in the discipline. On the other hand, for the section of studies for voice repertoire was selected from old methods with recognized efficacy. With this proposal of Manual / repertoire, it is intended to make the teaching of Singing accessible to children of Basic Education by abolishing, at this level, the existing repertoire of exclusively lyrical content transferring it to Secondary and Higher Education. This dissertation interests the singing teachers and intends to be the beginning of a more comprehensive approach to the repertoire for singing.
