Abstract(s)
The present Report is based on the Supervised Teaching Practice (PES) carried out for the class of the Moral and Religious Catholic Education. The PES was held at the Group of Schools of Mundão, located in Viseu, in class A of the eighth grade of schooling of the Second Cycle of Basic Education. The lecture focused on the Teaching Unit 4 "Ecology and Values". This Report intends to present a set of values and entire ecological position as they are expressed at the Unit taught. For the elaboration of this Report I turned to a work by Sophia de Mello Breyner "The Oriana Fairy" whose protagonist is the "personification" of the interiorization of values for a true life of concern for others and the environment as an integral part of their lives, in a very natural way, as an introduction to the theme. I centered my reflection on the encyclical Laudato si because it considers that it is an insurmountable document, and quite disturbing for the reality that we cross, when speaking of integral ecology, because it deepens very clearly this theme.
