O processo de envelhecimento assume grande destaque, visto que cada vez mais a população está mais envelhecida. De forma a tornar os idosos mais dinâmicos e participativos, tem-se realizado diversos projetos sobre a temática do envelhecimento ativo. É nesta visão que surge o projeto Mais Aldeia Pedagógica de Portela, tendo como objetivo primordial perceber de que forma é que um projeto de cariz comunitário poderá promover a participação dos idosos nas comunidades, assim como diminuir o isolamento, contribuindo para um envelhecimento ativo. Este projeto tinha como missão desenvolver diferentes atividades, promovendo o contacto entre idosos institucionalizados de várias instituições de Bragança e idosos residentes numa aldeia isolada, nomeadamente a aldeia de Portela – Bragança. Como forma de avaliar o impacto deste projeto recorreu-se uma abordagem qualitativa, com uma base exploratória descritiva, onde se realizaram entrevistas semiestruturadas cujo guião foi construído para esse efeito. Este projeto foi constituído por seis participantes (quatro idosos e dois responsáveis pela implementação do projeto). Os principais resultados apontam para uma implementação eficaz deste projeto sendo notório uma diminuição do isolamento, um aumento da participação social e um aumento do bem-estar quer físico, quer psicológico.
The aging process assumes great prominence since the population is ageing more and more. In order to make the elderly more participatory and dynamic, were conducted several studies on the thematic of active ageing. It is in this vision that the project Mais Aldeia Pedagógica de Portela arises, with the main objective of realizing how a community project can promote the participation of the elderly in the communities, as well reduce the isolation, contributing to an active ageing. This project had as its mission to develop different activities, promoting the contact between institutionalized elderly of several institutions of Bragança and elderly living in an isolated village, namely the village of Portela - Bragança. As a way of evaluating the impact of this project, we used a qualitative approach, with a descriptive exploratory basis, where semi-structured interviews were conducted whose script was created for this purpose. This project was constituted by six participants (four elderly and two project managers). The main results point to an effective implementation of this project, being notorious a decrease in isolation and an increase not only in social participation but also in physical and psychological well-being.
