O Centro Musical Stop tornou-se em três décadas a maior comunidade de músicos do país, um fenómeno que tem vindo a ser estudado a nível nacional. No entanto, apesar do cluster que se formou neste espaço, não têm existido ações visíveis para promover o Stop e potencializar o crescimento dos músicos lá instalados. Parece, assim, relevante compreender este fenómeno ao nível das relações existentes e da possibilidade de criação de ações coletivas com impacto visível. As redes industriais e relações de cooperação têm sido objeto de estudo em várias indústrias pelo Industrial Marketing Purchasing Group (IMP) e, neste trabalho, faz sentido analisar este cluster criativo à luz das mesmas. O objetivo de estudar as relações e a rede do Centro Musical Stop é compreender de que forma os atores desta rede podem interagir e estabelecer relações de cooperação, desenvolvendo ações coletivas que se traduzam num impacto positivo.
Este estudo de caso é uma investigação descritiva e embebida, com múltiplas unidades de análise, que recaem nos grupos de bandas e músicos, estúdios de produção, locais de atuação e outros atores relevantes. Utilizaram-se, assim, entrevistas semiestruturadas numa amostra relevante, onde estão representados todosIsto os grupos e situações encontradas no Centro Musical Stop,
No fim desta dissertação são apresentadas possíveis ações coletivas para o crescimento e promoção do Stop como centro cultural e musical. Estas focam-se nos atores da rede (músicos, empresas e administração), na Câmara Municipal do Porto e parceiros externos e ainda numa possível Associação de músicos do Centro Musical Stop.
The Centro Musical Stop became in three decades the largest community of musicians in the country, a phenomenon that has been studied at a national level. However, despite the cluster formed in this space, there have been no visible actions to promote Stop and boost the growth of the musicians installed here. It seems, therefore, relevant to understand this phenomenon in terms of existing relationships and the possibility of creating collective actions with visible impact. Industrial networks and cooperative relationships have been studied within several industries by the Industrial Marketing Purchasing Group (IMP) and, in this work, it makes sense to analyze this creative cluster in their light of. The purpose of studying the relationships and the Centro Musical Stop network is to understand how actors in this network can interact and establish cooperative relationships, developing collective actions that translate into a positive impact. This case study is a descriptive and embedded investigation, with multiple units of analysis, that fall under the groups of bands and musicians, production studios, performance locations and other relevant actors. Semi-structured interviews were used in a relevant sample, where all the groups and situations found in the Centro Musical Stop are represented. At the end of this dissertation are presented possible collective actions for the growth and promotion of Stop as a cultural and musical center. These focus on the network actors (musicians, companies and administration), the Câmara Municipal do Porto and external partners and, also, in a possible Association of musicians of the Centro Musical Stop.
