Abstract(s)
A Globalização, as migrações, e o pluralismo mudaram drasticamente o perfil da
sociedade atual.
nós cristãos, a nossa mesma fé.
A fé cristã é o
coração da Igreja intercultural.
The Globalization, the migrations and the pluralism have drastically changed the profile of our present society. Suddenly, we find ourselves in the so-called ‘global village’ where different peoples and cultures, who used to live isolated in their different contexts, now live together in a multicultural and plural society by the principle of tolerance. Looking for a more noble and Christian response to this multiculturality or cultural plurality, the Church invites us to live interculturality, which is a movement from simple tolerance to appreciation and celebration of our cultural diversity. The interculturality invites us to move from simple coexistence to living together in the spirit of respectful interaction, intercultural dialogue, reciprocity, equality and brotherhood. In order to achieve and appreciate interculturality we need to establish its foundation, which, for us Christians, is our very same faith. This dissertation seeks to unveil the role of Christian faith in the interculturality of the Church. In this paper, we will discover how our faith in the Holy Trinity, in the Church and in the Kingdom of God helps us appreciate interculturality. The Christian faith is the heart of intercultural Church.
