Abstract(s)
Atualmente, a competitividade organizacional é um fenómeno evidente,
trabalho digno, tende a diminui
Actually, organizational competitiveness is an obvious phenomenon, translating failures at important levels, such as the balance between work, family and personal life, stability and professional and personal security, personal and social assistance, employee representation, etc. All these are essential elements to be respected so that a work can be considered worthy. It is essential to realize that the school is a space of excellence, where good education professionals are required, a solid educational project and the maintenance and evolution of knowledge, which means that the teacher continues to make a difference. In this sense, it is important to respect these essential elements for decent work, in order to respond adequately to the challenges and commitments to the education system. The main objective of this study was to understand teachers' perceptions of their professional context in the field of decent work, considering their integration into the public network or the private network. Through a quantitative, descriptive, transversal and correlational study, where 323 teachers from the central zone of the country, belonging to the public school network and to the private school network were questioned, it was possible to conclude that teachers, mainly of the feminine gender, assume their profession as decent work, yet stress the need for improvements in wages, benefits, There is no significant difference in the analyzed dimensions of decent work between teachers in public schools and those in private schools. As the length of service increases, the agreement with the dimensions of decent work tends to decrease.
