- The Relationship between Quality Management Practices, Absorptive Capacity and Innovation PerformancePublication . Pérez-Arostegui, María N.; Sousa, Rui; Benitez-Amado, JoséThis paper analyzes the link between Quality Management Practices (QMP), a firm‟s absorptive capacity and innovation performance. A proposed research model and hypotheses are tested using cross-sectional survey data from a sample of 230 leading Spanish firms. The results indicate that five QMP, leadership, information and analysis, human resource management, process management and supplier management, are directly related to a firm‟s absorptive capacity. Likewise, absorptive capacity is positively related to product and process innovation performance.
