- A arquitetura da igreja de Águas, em Penamacor, de Nuno Teotónio Pereira : lugar de fé e oraçãoPublication . Vigário, Ismael Malhadas; Carvalho, Joaquim Augusto Félix deThe work focuses on the characterization of the modern architecture project of the church of Águas, in the municipality of Penamacor, by the architect Nuno Teotónio Pereira and its insertion in the new MRAR program (Movement for the Renewal of Religious Art). To identify in the modern architecture of the church elements of convergence with the new theological and liturgical identity that emerged from the impulse of the Second Vatican Council. Identifying in the church the sacramental value in architecture, when the altar surrounds the assembly and the liturgy, reveals itself in the true expression of community of faith and prayer. Through the quality of the liturgy celebrated in the building, the ecclesial community experiences and transforms itself into a fraternity of evangelical life.
- Construções marianas portuguesas dos séculos XIX e XX.Publication . Neto, José Augusto Monteiro; Abreu, José Paulo Leite deThis study explores the deep devotion to the Virgin Mary in Portugal and its architectural representation during significant cultural and religious changes. Using a comprehensive methodology that combines documentary research, semi-structured interviews, and place visits, the author examines the architectural features of major Marian buildings, the related devotional practices, and the social dynamics that influenced their construction and upkeep. The findings reveal that these structures not only reflect the faith of the Portuguese people but also play a vital role in shaping the country's cultural identity and religious history. The dissertation concludes with recommendations for future research, including comparative studies and an examination of the social impact of Marian festivities.
- «Deus continua a falar» : breve auscultação teológica de Em Teu Ventre, de José Luís PeixotoPublication . Pereira, André Alberto Mendes Resende; Angélico, José Pedro LopesThis dissertation is situated in the frontier territories of fundamental theology, configured with the reflexive-hermeneutic features of the so-called theoliterary/theopoetics, aiming to deepen, based on the literary work taken as raw material and source for the theological listening, as well as for the itinerary outlined from there, the dense and significant mesh of the dialogue between theology and literature, recognized as a special sounding board of the human and all that inhabits it, this singular place, also, of reverberation of the voice of God. The reflection will be carried out in a ternary rhythm: starting with an epistemological scrutiny of this dialogue between theology and literature, it will follow a historical-analytical path through this relationship in the specific context of Portuguese literature, to finally lead to the theological listening of Em Teu Ventre, by José Luís Peixoto. Placing ourselves in these cross-border spaces inhabited by theoliterary/theopoetics, this work assumes interdisciplinarity as a frequent praxis, particularly in reference to literature, anthropology, and history.
- Domingo como dia do Senhor e «senhor dos dias». : do cumprimento do preceito à construção de comunidades missionáriasPublication . Rocha, Márcio Miguel Tavares; Leal, Sérgio Filipe PinhoFrom the very beginning of Christianity, Sunday has been considered the main day for the Christian community, as it is associated with key events in the faith, such as celebrating the resurrection of Jesus Christ, the sending of the Holy Spirit and the celebration of the Eucharist. Though, over time, the community dimension of Sunday celebrations diminished, reducing Sunday practice to mere passive attendance at Eucharistic worship and strict fulfilment of the Sunday norm. This ignored the liturgical assembly as a community that consciously celebrates the mysteries of faith. Nonetheless, the ecclesial renewal of the Second Vatican Council restored the communal character of Sunday, particularly in the celebration of the Sunday Eucharist in parish communities (cf. SC 42). This dissertation aims to demonstrate that, because of its innate novelty, Sunday remains the day par excellence of the Christian community, and therefore the day of its edification and sending out on mission. In a socio-cultural and religious context characterised by new paradigms, this work offers a reading of the Christian experience of Sunday that is more community-oriented and helps to rediscover the beauty of a community that lives and celebrates its faith. Nourished by the Word and the Bread of Life at every Sunday assembly, this community must bear witness to the Kingdom of God in an ever-changing world.
- Pai, Filho e Espírito Santo : o conceito de ‘pessoa’ na teologia da imanência trinitária de Hans Urs von Balthasar na Theodramatik.Publication . Amarelo, Bernardo Miguel Dias Saraiva e; Palma, Alexandre Coutinho Lopes de BritoIn this project, our primary intention is to identify the configuration of the concept of person as understood by Hans Urs von Balthasar within the framework of Trinitarian imma-nence, as developed in the author’s theological dramatics, the Theodramatik. A secondary aim is to describe how, within this very notion, the Swiss theologian articulates personal singularity and relational dynamics within the Divine Persons. To achieve this, we begin, in the first chapter, by presenting the life and work of Hans Urs von Balthasar, focusing particularly on his theological Aesthetics, Dramatics, and Logic trilogy, as well as the major influences of other authors on his theological thought. In the second chapter, we survey the elements of Trinitarian immanent theology that Balthasar presents across the various volumes of the Theodramatik. Finally, in the third and concluding chapter of this work, we develop a systematic ac-count of the theology of divine intimacy within the One and Triune God. We then expound upon the individuation of the concept of person within the context of Balthasar’s reflection on divine immanence in his theological dramatics, as well as the way the author articulates personal singularity and relational dynamics within the Divine Persons.
