Abstract(s)
Na perspetiva de colher avultados lucros, existem indivíduos - os Business Angels -, que investem valores consideráveis de capital em Startups, assumindo um papel ativo na sua gestão e desenvolvimento. Assim, num primeiro momento, procuraremos dissecar qual o propósito e as especificidades deste tipo de investimento, bem como esclarecer os pontos benéficos e prejudiciais que se podem antecipar. Neste seguimento, pretendemos guiar - tanto o Business Angel, como o sócio fundador - nos múltiplos instrumentos jurídicos que, à luz do Direito Português, viabilizam a execução do financiamento in casu.
In the pursuit of earning significant profits, there are individuals - the Business Angels -, who invest considerable amounts of financial resources in Startups, and undertake an active role in their management and development. Firstly, we will try to analyse the purpose and particularities of this type of investment, as well as clarify the beneficial and disadvantageous points that can be anticipated. Subsequently, we intend to guide - both the Business Angel and the founding partner - in the multiple legal instruments that, under Portuguese Law, allow the execution of the financing in casu.
