Abstract(s)
variáveis ansiedade, depressão e pior qualidade do sono.
depressão e pior qualidade do sono.
This study aims to study the quality of life in menopausal women and analyze the relationships between anxiety, depression, sleep quality and marital satisfaction, and their impact on the quality of life in menopausal women. The participants were 76 menopausal women, who answered a questionnaire package that included the Sociodemographic and Clinical Questionnaire, Quality of Life Questionnaire, Anxiety, Depression and Stress Scales, Pittsburgh Sleep Quality Index, and the Marital Satisfaction Questionnaire. The results allowed us to verify that women in peri menopause reported greater anxiety compared to women who are in post-menopause. Correlation analyzes indicate a negative and significant relationship between physical quality of life and the variables anxiety, depression and poorer sleep quality. Likewise, there was a negative and significant relationship between psychological quality of life and the variables anxiety, depression and poorer sleep quality. Multiple hierarchical regression analyzes showed that annual income proved to be a significant predictor of physical quality of life. Thus, anxiety and poorer sleep quality were shown to be significant negative associated with physical quality of life. In psychological quality of life, anxiety and poorer sleep quality were also shown to be statistically significant negative predictors of lower psychological quality of life. This study suggests the need to develop specific prevention programs, especially for the control of anxiety in the perimenopause and health promotion to help with climacteric symptoms.
