Partindo da personagem central do livro O Filho de Mil Homens, de Valter Hugo Mãe, este trabalho tem como objetivo, por um lado, clarificar que nenhum ser humano se constrói a si mesmo pelo isolamento em relação a tudo e a todos. Toda a equilibrada construção da identidade pessoal passa sempre pela tomada de consciência de uma diferença que implica uma relação com a alteridade, que me exige uma resposta, tornando-me responsável por si. Por outro, tenta mostrar que o ser humano, na família, se descobre a si mesmo na sua doação total ao outro, cujo amor exclusivo nos lembra o próprio mistério trinitário: o modo de Deus amar torna-se a medida do amor humano. Além disso, enquanto núcleo de socialização primária, a família ensina o amor, o cuidado e o respeito. E não está sozinha no papel de educar os filhos. A escola partilha com ela as tarefas educativas, contribuindo, à sua medida, para a educação integral do ser humano. De entre as várias disciplinas que concorrem para este fim, destacamos, no âmbito deste trabalho, o papel da Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica na formação da personalidade dos alunos, na medida em que lhes propõe uma interpretação integral da existência pessoal, enriquecida pelos valores humanizadores de matriz cristã, que dão conteúdo à liberdade e fundamento à responsabilidade. Na sequência do enquadramento atrás referido, apresentamos, no final, uma proposta de lecionação para a Unidade Letiva Três do 5.º ano de escolaridade, do programa de Educação Moral e Religiosa Católica – “A Família, Comunidade de Amor”.
Rising out from the main character of the book O Filho de Mil Homens (The Son of One Thousand Men), by Valter Hugo Mãe, this work has as its main goal, on one hand, to become clear that no human being grows through isolation towards everything and everybody. Every balanced growing up personal identity always implies awareness of a difference through a relationship with the otherness, whose requires me an answer, becoming me responsible by him/herself. On the other hand, it tries to become noticeable that the human being, in the family, discovers him/herself in the total donation to the other, whose exclusive love reminds the Trinity mistery itself: the way God loves becomes the standard of human love. Besides that, as nucleus of primary socialization, the family teaches love, care and respect. And it is not alone in the role of educating the children. The school shares with the family the educative tasks, co-operating with its proportion, for the general education of the human being. Among the various school subjects which help on to this aim, we point out, in the sphere of action of this work, the role of Moral and Religious Catholic Education in the formation of students' personality, since it proposes them a global interpretation of personal existence, enriched by the values of the christian source, which give content to freedom and basis to responsability. As a sequence of the framing previously exposed we present, at the end, a teaching proposal for the Unit Three of the 5th grade, included in the program of Moral and Religious Catholic Education – “Family, Community of Love”.
