Abstract(s)
A profissão de enfermagem exige que, ao longo da vida profissional, os enfermeiros estejam em atualização permanente. Além do domínio de tecnologias e técnicas sofisticadas, necessitam de formação baseada na melhor e mais atual evidência científica. A evolução da ciência, incluindo a ciência da enfermagem e da tecnologia, possibilitou o aumento da sobrevida dos doentes em estado crítico e/ ou falência de órgãos. A Especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, na área de enfermagem à pessoa em situação crítica, permite adquirir competências comuns e especificas, na assistência ao doente crítico admitido no serviço de urgência e em ambiente extra-hospitalar. Este relatório pretende refletir sobre o processo de aprendizagem e de aquisição destas mesmas competências e surge no âmbito da Unidade Curricular “Estágio final e Relatório”. O relatório inclui uma reflexão sobre as competências prévias adquiridas ao longo do exercício profissional, descreve os contextos da prática clínica e o processo de aprendizagem, enumeram-se os objetivos gerais e específicos, atividades realizadas, competências adquiridas, faz-se reflexão crítico-reflexiva sobre a aquisição de novas competências, bem como as implicações e mudanças que provocaram no enfermeiro e nas suas práticas. Por fim, são descritas e refletidas as particularidades que a pandemia trouxe ao processo de aquisição de competências, quer a nível académico, quer a nível pessoal. Nos contextos de estágio, surgiram algumas oportunidades de melhoria que foram sinalizadas e para as quais foram sugeridas estratégias: (a) no serviço de urgência garantir que a identificação do doente se mantém com ele durante todo o período de estadia no hospital, identificar com respeito os doentes em fim de vida, colaborar na formação “A tomada de decisão em Enfermagem e o seu registo no serviço de Urgência”; (b) no ambiente extra-hospitalar “Incompatibilidade Medicamentosa”. Apenas através da investigação conseguiremos dar a visibilidade que a enfermagem merece.
The nursing profession requires that, throughout their professional lives, nurses are constantly updated. In addition to mastering sophisticated technologies and techniques, they need training based on the best and most up-to-date scientific evidence. The evolution of science, including the science of nursing and technology, has made it possible to increase the survival of patients in critical condition and/or organ failure. The Medical-Surgical Nursing Specialization, in the area of nursing to the person in a critical situation, allows the acquisition of common and specific skills in the care of the critical patient admitted to the emergency service and in an out-of-hospital environment. This report intends to reflect on the process of learning and acquiring these same skills and appears in the scope of the Curricular Unit "Final Internship and Report". The report includes a reflection on the previous skills acquired during the professional exercise, describes the contexts of clinical practice and the learning process, lists the general and specific objectives, activities carried out, skills acquired, makes a critical reflexive reflection on the acquisition of new skills, as well as the implications and changes they provoked in the nurse and his practices. Finally, the particularities that the pandemic has brought to the skills acquisition process are described and reflected, both on an academic and personal level. In the internship contexts, some opportunities for improvement have emerged which have been signalled and for which strategies have been suggested: (a) in the emergency department, to ensure that the patient's identification is maintained with him/her throughout his/her stay in hospital, to identify with respect the patients at the end of their lives, to collaborate in the training "Decision making in Nursing and their registration in the emergency department"; (b) in the out-of-hospital environment "Medication Incompatibility". Only through research, we will be able to give the visibility that nursing deserves.
