The university experience constitutes a complex and multidimensional phenomenon, encompassing academic, relational, affective, and symbolic dimensions. The present study explored the social representations of the university experience among higher education students, with particular attention to emotional ties, senses of belonging, support networks, and perceived resources. Eighteen undergraduate students from a university in the north of the country participated, drawn from the first and final years of seven different degree programmes. The Draw, Write and Tell method was used, integrating visual expression, written reflection, and oral narration, with data analysed through qualitative thematic analysis supported by NVivo 15. Ten thematic categories emerged, the most extensively represented being Friendships and Social Life, Personal Growth and Development, and Stress and Overload. The findings reveal that students' representations are organised predominantly around relational and affective dimensions, and that systematic differences exist between first-year and final-year students in how they narrate transition and identity development. The study contributes to the literature by demonstrating the suitability of the DWT method with university populations and its value in capturing nuances of the student experience.eng
