A introdução de veículos autónomos (VAs) tem o potencial de mudar muitas vertentes da sociedade e constitui uma mudança no setor na indústria automóvel. O interesse em veículos autónomos tem crescido ao longo dos últimos anos. Estes veículos possuem sistemas robustos e sofisticados de perceção do ambiente envolvente e são, também, muito precisos a otimizar as rotas e a evitar possíveis obstáculos. À medida que as tecnologias de condução autónoma avançam e se integram cada vez mais no quotidiano, torna-se fundamental compreender a perspetiva do consumidor sobre a decisão de adotar veículos autónomos. Assim sendo, este trabalho procura perceber as perceções e os processos de tomada de decisão dos consumidores quando consideram a adoção de veículos autónomos. Com esse propósito, foi realizado um questionário de modo a perceber a perceção e as preocupações do consumidor relativamente à adoção destes veículos. As atitudes dos consumidores não são apenas moldadas pelos benefícios percebidos dos veículos autónomos, mas também são influenciadas por preocupações relacionadas com a segurança, conforto, confiança na tecnologia e mesmo com os seus impactos ambientais. Ao analisar estes fatores, pretendemos fornecer uma compreensão abrangente da perspetiva dos consumidores em torno dos veículos autónomos.
The introduction of autonomous vehicles (VAs) has the potential to change many aspects of society and constitutes a shift in the automotive industry. Interest in autonomous vehicles has been growing over the last few years. These vehicles have robust and sophisticated systems for perceiving the surrounding environment and are also very accurate at optimizing paths and avoiding possible obstacles. As autonomous driving technologies advance and become increasingly integrated into everyday life, it is essential to understand the consumer's perspective on the decision to adopt autonomous vehicles. This study therefore seeks to understand consumers' perceptions and decision-making processes when they consider adopting autonomous vehicles. With that purpose, a questionnaire was carried out to understand consumer perceptions and concerns regarding the adoption of these vehicles. Consumer attitudes are not only shaped by the perceived benefits of autonomous vehicles, but are also influenced by concerns related to safety, comfort, trust in the technology and even their environmental impacts. By analyzing these factors, we aim to provide a comprehensive understanding of the consumer’s perspective towards autonomous vehicles.
