orientações curriculares do pré-escolar e o currículo do ensino básico (1º ciclo).
orientadores:
- Observação de aulas;
- Entrevista aos docentes;
This dissertation aims to understand and analyze the way in which first-aid training is developed in first-cycle pedagogical practice, following the pre-school curriculum guidelines and the basic education (1st cycle) curriculum. It is also intended to know the justification of the pedagogical practices implemented by teachers, identifying problems, planning strategies and identifying potential for improvement. With the objective of framing the theme and identifying the respective state of art, characterizing the current practices of first aid teaching, a review of the literature was made presenting the respective methodologies implemented in several Countries. A study was then carried out, which was developed at a school in the North Coast of Portugal with the participation of seven Teachers, over a period of two to three weeks, followed by a supervised follow-up including class observation followed by a shared reflection on the practices of each teacher. In sequence, individual interviews were conducted in order to understand the reasons for the pedagogical practices, the difficulties experienced and suggestions for improvement. For this study, several data collection techniques were used, using guiding guidelines: - Observation of classes; - Interview with teachers. The results of the analysis of the observation grids as well as the transcripts of the interviews with the teachers were interpreted on the basis of content analysis. Based on the analyzes mentioned above, a set of improvement proposals was developed taking into account the analysis and suggestions of the teachers themselves, to mitigate the identified problems, concluding mainly on the need of more training in various subjects of the area of first aid for teachers. Following the recommendations, it was proposed the planning of a training action that could solve the identified problems.
