Abstract(s)
O trabalho pretende contribuir para a análise e a compreensão dos sistemas construtivos retabulares, através do estudo aprofundado destes elementos e da evolução das estruturas que os sustentam, ao longo dos séculos. Trata-se de um tema ao qual foi dada pouca importância desde que há estudos de conservação e restauro e mesmo de história da arte, quer a nível de preservação dos seus elementos originais, quer a nível de estudos realizados que permitissem compreender como cada um dos elementos contribui para a estabilidade do retábulo, assim como se existiria uma lógica construtiva por parte dos construtores da época. Este estudo foi complementado com a seleção do caso de estudo do retábulo-mor tardo-barroco da Igreja do Colégio de Nossa Senhora da Esperança do Porto, sobre o qual realizou-se um levantamento exaustivo de cada um dos elementos que compõem o sistema construtivo, tendo sido criado uma imagem tridimensional. Este objeto digital permitiu criar, ficticiamente, o distanciamento necessário para que o observador tivesse uma visão global da peça, auxiliando na análise do seu funcionamento estrutural.
To enhance the study and comprehension of the construction systems employed in altarpieces, which have historically received limited attention, both in terms of conserving their original components and conducting comprehensive analyses to fathom the functionality of each constituent part in supporting the altarpiece, as well as discerning any underlying construction rationale employed by the builders, a meticulous examination was undertaken. This investigation encompassed an exploration of the evolution of these structures over the centuries. To complement this research, the late-baroque altarpiece within the Church of the College of Nossa Senhora da Esperança in Porto was chosen. This selection facilitated a thorough investigation of every element comprising the structural system, involving three-dimensional illustrations and a comprehensive analysis.
