A Enfermagem como profissão que se centra no cuidar da pessoa, necessita de produção e renovação contínuas no seu corpo de conhecimentos, o que apenas é possível atendendo à procura constante, com base na evidência científica, de modo a melhorar a segurança e os cuidados prestados à pessoa em situação crítica e sua família. O Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica possui um leque de conhecimentos, capacidades e competências em diversos domínios, quer na gestão de cuidados, na melhoria contínua da qualidade, nas aprendizagens profissionais quer na responsabilidade profissional, ética e legal o que o torna um elemento de referência no âmbito das unidades prestadoras de cuidados. O presente relatório visa expor o percurso que englobou três estágios que permitiram experiências e aprendizagens diversificadas. Pretende ainda, demonstrar de forma crítica e reflexiva as atividades desenvolvidas e competências adquiridas nos três contextos da prática clínica. A revisão integrativa da literatura corroborou a importância da sexualidade da pessoa portadora de ostomia de eliminação intestinal, a pertinência da consulta de estomaterapia, bem como, a importância da formação e investigação nesta área.
Nursing as a career that focus on patient care requires continuous refreshment and research for knowledge improvement, which is only possible due to a constant research and investigation based on scientific evidences in order to improve the security and the heath care of the patient family and the patient in a critical situation. A Nurse with a specialization in Medico-Surgical nursing owns a broad knowledge, skills and competences in several domains which can go from healthcare management, quality continuous improvement, professional experience and responsibility as a professional, ethically and legal. These skillsets reveals him as a healthcare facilities reference element. This report presents a career path that covered three internships which allowed several distinct experiences and learnings. It also pretends to state all developed activities and competences for the three practical clinical contexts in a argumentative and reflective way. All bibliography had in mind the importance of the patient gender who host the intestinal elimination stoma, of the healthcare appointments for stomatherapy as well as the training and research value on this field of activity.
