O presente trabalho que tem por título "Formação e Práticas Sociopedagógicas: O caso dos Técnicos de Reeducação em Portugal" corresponde a uma dissertação apresentada à Universidade Católica Portuguesa, Faculdade de Educação e Psicologia para obtenção do grau de Mestre em Ciências da Educação com especialização em Pedagogia Social. Com esta pesquisa, procurámos e compreender as práticas sociopedagógicas adotadas pelos técnicos de reeducação, bem como a formação necessária para que esses profissionais possam realizar intervenções eficazes. Do ponto de vista empírico, optou-se por um estudo de caso, referente a um estabelecimento prisional localizado no norte de Portugal, enquadrado pelo paradigma interpretativo, com recurso à pesquisa documental e à auscultação direta de atores, realizada através de entrevistas semiestruturadas. Os dados recolhidos e analisados revelaram a importância da formação específica dos técnicos de reeducação, bem como a necessidade de desenvolver práticas sociopedagógicas que considerem as particularidades dos reclusos e promovam a sua inclusão social.
This work, entitled "Training and Socio-pedagogical Practices: The Case of Re-education Technicians in Portugal" corresponds to a dissertation submitted to the Portuguese Catholic University, Faculty of Education and Psychology to obtain the degree of master’s in educational sciences with a specialization in Social Pedagogy. With this research, we sought to identify and understand the socio-pedagogical practices adopted by re-education technicians, as well as the training required for these professionals to be able to carry out effective interventions. From an empirical point of view, we opted for a case study, referring to a prison located in the north of Portugal, framed by the interpretive paradigm, using documentary research and direct consultation with actors, carried out through semi-structured interviews. The data collected and analyzed revealed the importance of specific training for re-education technicians, as well as the need to develop socio-pedagogical practices that take into account the particularities of prisoners and promote their social inclusion.
