| dc.description.abstract | No presente trabalho procura-se refletir, agregar conceitos e informações através da pesquisa, observação e análise do projeto elaborado ao longo do ano letivo. Como conceito e justificação da realização deste trabalho nasce o tema “Mosaicos Urbanos: Habitar e Envelhecer – Acessibilidades” que pretende aliar e ligar ideias, opiniões e noções com a prática do desenho universal, para se viver, habitar e envelhecer na cidade de Viseu, com proposta para um local e um programa concretos. A finalidade é dar resposta às distintas necessidades dos cidadãos, projetando espaços acessíveis a todos, visando a melhoria da qualidade de vida. A arquitetura proporciona a ligação entre cidade e sociedade, ou seja, entre os espaços (privados ou públicos) e os indivíduos que deles usufruem. A população portuguesa está a envelhecer a um ritmo muito acelerado, o que revela uma quase inversão da pirâmide demográfica, que, por seu lado, implica adaptar a cidade às necessidades do grupo etário em crescimento. Isso significa que a cidade será habitada por idosos, pelo que o quotidiano urbano será cada vez mais condicionado por restrições, em termos de acessibilidades ou outros aspetos funcionais. O paradigma de envelhecer em casa é uma das causas para a construção de uma residência acessível a este grupo etário, bem como a todos os que vivem ou pretendem viver no espaço urbano, que apresenta uma morfologia com certas categorias e limitações que o caracterizam. É com a criação dos “mosaicos habitacionais” que pretendemos dar uma imagem de continuidade, visando a melhoria do planeamento urbano, de modo a criar um espaço de todos e para todos. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The present work means to reflect and aggregate concepts and information through research, observation and analysis of the project carried out throughout the academic year. From the concept and justification for the making of this work comes the theme “Urban Mosaics: Inhabit and Olden – Accessibilities” than wants to ally and connect ideas, opinions and notions with the practice of universal design in order for one to live, inhabit and age in the city of Viseu, with the proposal for a location and a specific program. The goal is to give response to the distinct needs of citizens, projecting accessible spaces to everyone, envisioning the improvement of the overall quality of life. Architecture can connect the city and society, between the spaces (public or private) and the individuals that enjoy them. The Portuguese population is aging at a very quick pace, what reveals a near inversion of the demographic pyramid that, in its way, implies adapting the city to the needs of the growing age group. That means that the city shall be inhabited by the elderly, and the urban quotidian will be increasingly affected by restrictions, in terms of accessibility or in other functional aspects. The aging at home paradigm is one of the causes that leads to the construction of an accessible residence to this age group, as well as to all that live or intend to live in the urban space, that presents a morphology with certain categories and limitat ions that characterize it. It is with the creation of these “habitation mosaics” that we intent to give an image of continuity, envisioning the improvement of urban planning, in order to create a space of everyone and to everyone. | pt_PT |
