Abstract(s)
fenómeno inerente a todas as interacções humanas e, desta forma, indissociável do contexto
organizacional.
A revisão bibliográfica
This study aims to understand and evaluate the nature of the behavior and organizational processes in the Portuguese context, based on the knowledge that the conflict is a phenomenon inherent in all human interactions and thus inseparable from the organizational context. The starting question: What is the most adopted strategy in conflict management? Initially we present the theoretical framework, addressing some concepts and management applications. Then we present some approaches to conflict and conflict management, featuring the main approaches to the topic. The review ends with state of the art where some recent studies are presented by several authors. In the methodological aspect we used the descriptive analysis to identify and characterize the results of a sample of 44 employees of an organization. It was also carried out inferential analysis to test the hypotheses. As a result, it was found that the strategy adopted in most part of conflicts is compromising. This result shows that, in a conflict situation, employees tend to adopt this strategy in an attempt to satisfy, moderate but incompletely, the interests of both parties in return for some concessions or for a mediator position in the conflict.
