Abstract(s)
A aliança terapêutica é um constructo essencial ao processo psicoterapêutico,
estando presente em todas as formas de psicoterapia; todavia, poucos estudos nas
populações jovens se tem debruçado sobre o impacto que as variáveis do cliente têm na
aliança terapêutica.
Este estudo avaliou quantitativamente o impacto das variáveis género, idade,
diagnostico, prognóstico e número de sessões, na perceção sobre a aliança terapêutica
de 40 psicoterapeutas de crianças e adolescentes.
A recolha de dados foi efectuada com recurso a um questionario online
elaborado pela equipa de investigação e prenchido pelos terapeutas, sendo os dados
obtidos sujeitos a analise de testes estatisticos não parametrico.
De uma forma geral, o presente estudo verificou o seguinte:
A) A perceção dos terapeutas da dimensão Relação da aliança terapêutica
aumenta ao longo das sessões.
B) Jovens com perturbações de internalização apresentam valores superiores na
perceção dos terapeutas da dimensão Tarefas.
C) A perceção dos terapeutas da dimensão Objetivos da aliança terapêutica é
superior nos clientes do género feminino.
D) Os terapeutas percecionam a dimensão Relação da aliança terapêutica
superior em jovens com um prognostico favorável.
E) Não foi encontrada nenhuma relação entre a idade do cliente e a perceção do
terapeuta dos valores da aliança terapêutica.
The therapeutic alliance is an essential part of the therapeutic process, in almost all types of psychotherapy, nevertheless, few studies have reflected upon the impact of client variables on the therapeutic alliance in young clients. The present study to evaluate from a quantitative standpoint the impact of the client gender, prognostic, client’s age, diagnosis and number of completed sessions, on the perception of the therapeutic alliance of 40 therapists that work with children and adolescents. The data for this study was collected through an online questionnaire formulated by the researchers, and answered by the therapists. The data collected was subjected to nonparametric statistical analysis. In broad terms, the following study was able to verify the following: A) The therapist perception of the Relation component of the therapeutic alliance increases along the number of completed sessions. B) Young clients that presented internalizing disorders were perceived by the therapist as having higher values of the Task component of the therapeutic alliance. C) Therapist perceptions of the Objective component of the therapeutic alliance was superior in female clients. D) Therapist perceptions of the Relation component of the therapeutic alliance was superior in clients with a good prognostic. E) No relation between Therapist perceptions of the therapeutic alliance and age of the client was found.
