Abstract(s)
O presente Relatório surge no âmbito da unidade curricular Estágio e Relatório, inserido no 15º Curso de Mestrado em Enfermagem com Especialização em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, da Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Instituto Ciências da Saúde. O objetivo é descrever o percurso de aquisição e desenvolvimento de Competências do Enfermeiro Especialista em Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, através de uma metodologia descritiva e crítico-reflexiva sobre as atividades desenvolvidas. No contexto pré-hospitalar, Serviço de VMER, o desenvolvimento de competências na área de cuidados de pré-hospitalar envolveu a realização de cuidados a pessoas em situação crítica tais como: participação em emergências médicas, e transporte de doentes, crescimento de aptidões na comunicação com o doente e família e na segurança do doente e profissionais de saúde. Foi possível contribuir para a melhoria da qualidade dos cuidados prestados, no “conforto da família através da intervenção do enfermeiro na transmissão das más noticias em contexto de Urgência e Emergência.” No contexto do Programa de prevenção e controlo de infeção e resistências aos microbianos foram desenvolvidas de aptidões a nível da prevenção e controlo da infeção como parte integrante da comissão de controlo de infeções e resistências aos antimicrobianos, realizando auditorias neste âmbito. A realização de uma Scoping Review - “Medidas de prevenção e controlo de infeção cruzada por MRSA em contexto hospitalar” veio desocultar a evidência científica nesta área. Concluído o percurso considera-se que foram desenvolvidas competências de enfermeiro especialista e julga-se futuramente ser capaz de prestar cuidados especializados na área de Enfermagem Médico-Cirúrgica, através de processos de tomada de decisão, assente na ação refletida e na prática baseada na evidência científica, que levando ao crescimento pessoal e profissional nos domínios das competências comuns do enfermeiro especialista, mas principalmente na área da prevenção e controlo de infeção.
This Report comes within the scope of the Internship and Report curricular unit, inserted in the 15th Master's Course in Nursing with Specialization in Medical Surgical Nursing, at Universidade Católica Portuguesa – Instituto Ciências da Saúde. The objective is to describe the route for acquisition and development of Competencies of the Specialist Nurse in Medical-Surgical Nursing, through a descriptive and critical-reflective methodology on the activities developed. In the pre-hospital context, VMER Service, the development of skills around pre hospital care involved providing care to people in critical condition, such as: participation in medical emergencies, and patients transport, growth of communication skills with the patient and family and in the safety of the patient and health professionals. It was possible to contribute to the improvement of the quality of care provided, in the “comfort of the family through the intervention of the nurse in the transmission of bad news in the context of Urgency and Emergency.” In the context of the Program for the prevention and control of infection and resistance to microbials, skills were developed in terms of prevention and control of infection as an integral part of the commission for control of infections and resistance to antimicrobials, carrying out audits in this area. The carrying out of a Scoping Review - “Measures for the prevention and control of cross-infection by MRSA in a hospital context” revealed the scientific evidence in this area. Once the course has been completed, it is considered that specialist nurse skills have been developed and it is believed to be capable of providing specialized care in the area of Medical Surgical Nursing in the future, through decision-making processes, based on reflected action and practice based on scientific evidence, leading to personal and professional growth in the areas of common skills of specialist nurses, but mainly in the area of infection prevention and control.
