Abstract(s)
O presente trabalho expõe as atividades desenvolvidas no âmbito da coleção do Núcleo Museológico da Escola Superior de Enfermagem do Porto, no âmbito de estágio curricular do Mestrado em Conservação e Restauro de Bens Culturais, da Escola das Artes, Universidade Católica Portuguesa. As principais áreas de trabalho foram a revisão da inventariação e a sua informatização, bem como a identificação do estado de conservação e manutenção de peças da coleção em exposição permanente. Foram também considerados aspetos de acondicionamento adequado segundo parâmetros de conservação e restauro de coleções de ciência e técnica, como é o caso da coleção institucional abordada. A metodologia aplicada para a elaboração deste trabalho partiu de uma pesquisa bibliográfica sobre o tema das coleções em museus de ciência e tecnologia, de modo a compreender melhor as tipologias e as características dos objetos deste tipo de coleções. A pesquisa também abordou questões de conservação e restauro, manutenção e de limpeza mecânica das peças da coleção. Relativamente aos procedimentos de manutenção e acondicionamento, foram aplicados os conhecimentos adquiridos ao longo da parte curricular do mestrado e seguidas as boas práticas da conservação e restauro, bem como o referencial teórico existente.
This work exposes the activities developed within the scope of the collection of the Museological Center of the Nursing School of Porto, within the scope of the curricular internship of the Master's Degree in Conservation and Restoration of Cultural Heritage, of the School of Arts, Universidade Católica Portuguesa. The main areas of work were the review of the inventory and its computerization, as well as the identification of the state of conservation and maintenance of pieces of the collection on permanent display. Aspects of adequate packaging were also considered according to conservation and restoration parameters of science and technical collections, as is the case of the institutional collection addressed. The methodology applied for the elaboration of this work was based on a bibliographic research on the theme of collections in science and technology museums, in order to better understand the typologies and characteristics of the objects of this type of collections. The research also addressed issues of conservation and restoration, maintenance and mechanical cleaning of the pieces in the collection. Regarding the maintenance and packaging procedures, the knowledge acquired throughout the curricular part of the master's degree was applied and the good practices of conservation and restoration were followed, as well as the existing theoretical framework.
