A impressão 3D apresenta-se como uma forma revolucionária nas tecnologias de produção e de consumo, estando já a mudar a indústria da Moda. Esta tecnologia confere aos seus utilizadores a capacidade de produção de objetos a partir de ficheiros ou através da utilização de um scanner 3D, trazendo novos desafios à Propriedade Intelectual.
A indústria da Moda é especialmente afetada pela contrafação e pela pirataria e a impressão 3D, pelas possibilidades que confere, pode ajudar a potenciar este problema. O nosso objetivo neste trabalho é analisar a transformação que a impressão 3D poderá trazer à indústria da Moda e as soluções que poderão ser adotadas, no âmbito da Propriedade Intelectual, para atenuar a contrafação e a pirataria.
3D printing presents as a revolution in production and consumption technology, and is already changing the Fashion Industry. This technology gives its users the ability to produce objects from files or by using a 3D scanner, offering new challenges to Intellectual Property. The Fashion Industry is especially affected by counterfeiting and piracy. 3D printing, by the possibilities it provides, might be a factor that boosts this problem. Our goal with this study is to analyze the transformations that 3D printing can bring to the Fashion Industry and the solutions that Intellectual Property can adopt to mitigate counterfeiting and piracy.
