Este relatório tem como principal objectivo, dar a conhecer a nossa experiência profissional em
enfermagem numa unidade de saúde especializada que intervém na faixa etária da
adolescência, deixando perceber os respectivos ganhos em saúde para o adolescente e
família, bem como os resultados pessoais e profissionais alcançados.
Através da sua leitura, conhece-se o teor das actividades desenvolvidas num estágio que
englobou dois módulos em torno da fase de desenvolvimento da adolescência. Um visou a
promoção de estilos de vida, diagnóstico e prevenção no âmbito da Consulta Externa, o outro
que foi de opção, ocorreu em contexto de Hospital de Dia. Em qualquer dos dois módulos, as
intervenções focaram o adolescente e família, embora no Hospital de Dia, e no que diz respeito
ao adolescente, as intervenções se tenham desenvolvido primordialmente através do grupo.
Ambos aconteceram na Clínica da Juventude.
À medida que se avança na leitura descortinam-se então as intervenções que visaram a saúde
do adolescente, da sua família e/ou pessoas significativas. As intervenções foram aos três
níveis de prevenção e resultaram em ganhos em saúde para a população, mais
especificamente para o adolescente. Estes ganhos em saúde foram sentidos quer pelo
adolescente, quer também pela sua família. Verificaram-se mudanças positivas nas relações
familiares, nas relações com pares e nas relações com outros intervenientes nomeadamente
professores.
A intervenção do enfermeiro desenvolveu-se em circunstâncias de cuidados complexas e por
isso exigentes, numa unidade de saúde comunitária especializada como é a Clínica da
Juventude.
Nele estão patentes conteúdos teóricos que fundamentam o exercício profissional
especializado em enfermagem de saúde mental e psiquiatria, bem como conteúdos que,
clarificam a fase de desenvolvimento da adolescência e suas características inerentes.
Através de movimentos crítico-reflexivos, que emergem ao longo dos diferentes capítulos e que
se articulam com o desenvolvimento de competências profissionais específicas, este relatório
visa dar a conhecer um trabalho assente no uso de si enquanto enfermeiro, com vista a
estabelecer uma relação de ajuda profissional com recurso a estratégias e princípios
psicoterapêuticos.
Recorrendo à entrevista ao adolescente e sua família e ao trabalho centrado no adolescente ou
no grupo de adolescentes, sempre assente numa articulação que se integrou na equipa,
desenvolveu-se e consolidou-se um projecto de formação profissional avançada, que levou ao alcance dos objectivos propostos e constituiu-se como uma experiência de desenvolvimento
pessoal e profissional
The main objective of the following report is to allow some understanding of our professional nursing experience, in a specialized health unit which works with adolescents. Through its reading you may know the content of the developed activities in an internship which comprehended two modules. These two internship modules took place during the adolescent development phase. One aimed to promote the life styles, make the diagnosis and act on prevention, within the scope of the Consulta Externa and focused on the adolescent and their family. The other, which was optional, took place within the Hospital de Dia and within the intervention in the adolescents’ therapeutic group and their families. Both occurred in the Clinica da Juventude. As you read on, the interventions which aimed the adolescent’s health are uncovered and so are their family and/or significant persons. The interventions reached the three levels of prevention and their outcome was a gain to the population’s health, more specifically to the adolescent. These health gains were felt both by the adolescent and their family. Positive changes have been made in family relations, pairs relations and relations with other intervenients such as the teachers. Nurse’s interventions were developed in complex and demanding caring circumstances, in a communitarian specialized health unit as is the Clinica da Juventude. You will find here the theoretical contents that substantiate the specialized professional exercise in mental health and psychiatry nursing, as well as contents that clarify the developing phase of adolescence and its inherent characteristics. Through critical and reflexive movements, which emerge along the different chapters and that articulate with the development of specific professional skills, this report aims also, and therefore, to make known a work that is based in the use of the self in establishing a professional helping relationship, with resource to strategies and psychotherapeutical principles. This project was developed and funded using as resources the interview to the adolescent and the family and the work focused on the adolescent or on the adolescents’ group, and having as basis the team’s articulation. It consolidated into an advanced professional educational project which lead to the goals that were set and it built up to a professional and personal development experience
