| dc.description.abstract | As indiscutíveis mudanças originadas pelo sucesso do smartphone, fruto do progresso tecnológico e de uma sociedade hiperconectada, geram inevitavelmente novos desafios ao sistema educativo, à escola, aos professores e aos alunos. Neste sentido, a presente investigação aborda a sua adoção e utilização dentro e fora da sala de aula, analisando o seu contributo para uma escola mais inovadora e atenta ao mundo real. Assim, serão apresentadas as perceções dos docentes relativamente aos benefícios e desafios da sua utilização. Os dados foram recolhidos através de um focus group ao qual se seguiu a análise de conteúdo. Os resultados indicam que a utilização do smartphone é um fator de motivação dos alunos, contribui para a consolidação e melhoria das aprendizagens e exige empenho, persistência, regras muito bem definidas e um período de formação e habituação dos alunos. Os professores necessitam de tempo para procurar, conhecer e experimentar a miríade de apps que diariamente emergem e que estão disponíveis para uma utilização efetiva dentro e fora da sala de aula. | pt_PT |
| dc.description.abstract | The undeniable changes caused by the success of the smartphone, as the result of the technological progress and a hyper-connected society, inevitably generate new challenges for the educational system, the schools, the teachers and the students. In this sense, this research addresses its adoption and use inside and outside the classroom, analysing its contribution to a more innovative school, attentive to the real world. Thus, teachers’ perceptions of the benefits and challenges of using them will be presented. Data were collected through a focus group followed by content analysis. The results indicate that the use of the smartphone is a motivating factor for students, contributes to the consolidation and improvement of learning, and requires commitment, persistence, well-defined rules and a period of training and habituation for students. Teachers need time to search, discover and experience the myriad of apps that emerge daily and that are available for effective use inside and outside the classroom. | pt_PT |
