Abstract(s)
O presente documento visa contextualizar um estágio realizado na
Companhia de Seguros Tranquilidade. Este estágio traduziu-se num
complemento indispensável para todos os conhecimentos adquiridos no
mestrado, em particular os alusivos ao setor de seguros e ao trabalho na área da
Economia que lhe é inerente.
Assim, através de uma análise sobre o setor segurador, a par das dinâmicas
laborais que integraram o estágio em questão, sublinha-se a abordagem sobre a
Avaliação de Desempenho, uma vez ter sido esta a temática que esteve a base
das tarefas propostas e realizadas.
O estudo tem como objetivos: enquadrar o setor segurador em Portugal,
compreender o conceito de Avaliação de Desempenho; identificar variáveis que
influenciam os diversos indicadores; enumerar os diversos indicadores de
Desempenho; explorar o processo relativo à Avaliação de Desempenho, na CST;
propôr um método de Avaliação de Desempenho alternativo – Balanced
Scorecard - para a CST.
Este estudo revela, sob forma metodológica do Estudo de Caso, o sistema de
Avaliação de Desempenho adotado na organização, comparando-o com a teoria
vigente. Esta comparação consolida-se com a proposta de um modelo teórico de
avaliação de desempenho - Balanced Scorecard. Esta proposta justifica-se por se
atender à melhoria continua desejável em qualquer organização, em que a
dimensão avaliativa do trabalho necessita de permanentes atualizações. Isto
favorece a motivação e o desempenho satisfatório dos colaboradores. A título
de exemplo, foram registadas melhorias ao nível da apresentação das medidas
de desempenho, nomeadamente sob a forma de relatórios mensais respetivos à
área de ação, o que favoreceu a análise de dados até então vigente. Assim, pretende-se abrir caminho para mais e melhores trajetos de
desenvolvimento de competências e monitorização das atividades realizadas, à
luz do que é o negócio da empresa.
This document aims to contextualize an internship conducted at Companhia de Seguros Tranquilidade. This internship served as complement for all knowledge acquired in the Masters, particularly related to the insurance area and the economic work that follow it. Therefore, through an analysis of the insurance sector, along with labor dynamics that integrated the internship in question, i focused on Performance Evaluation, once this has main theme of the proposed and delivered tasks. The study aims to: frame the insurance sector in Portugal, understand the concept of Performance Evaluation; identify variables that influence the different indicators; enumerate the various indicators of performance; explore in CST the process of Performance Evaluation; propose for CST an alternative method for the Evaluation of Alternative Performance - Balanced Scorecard. This study reveals, under the case study methodology, the organization’s system of Performance Evaluation adopted, comparing it with the theory. This comparison is based on the theoretical model for evaluating performance - Balanced Scorecard. This proposal is justified as it is desirable to meet the ongoing improvement in any organization, in which the evaluation dimension of the work requires permanent updates. This promotes the motivation and the satisfactory performance of employees. As an example, improvements were recorded at the level of performance’s presentation measures, underlined in monthly reports of the respective area of action, which favored the analysis of data collected until then. Thus, it is intended to open the path for more and better ways for skills development and monitoring of activities regarding the company's business.
