Abstract(s)
O presente estudo insere-se no projeto Internacional Financiado pela Comissão Europeia SeRV - Services and Rights for Victims of Crime – (JUST-AG-2018/JUST-JACCAG-2018) e tem como objetivo aceder à perspetiva dos alunos de psicologia sobre vitimação secundária, através da análise do seu conhecimento sobre o impacto deste fenómeno em vítimas de violência sexual. Frequentemente estas relatam experiências traumáticas no contacto com o sistema de apoio, designadamente, entidades policiais, sistema de saúde e sistema judicial, colocando-as numa situação de maior vulnerabilidade e reintensificando o trauma. Considerando que os estudantes de psicologia serão os futuros profissionais a integrar os mais diversos contextos de atendimento à vítima, é de suma importância analisar o seu grau de conhecimento nesta matéria, de modo a evitar que se tornem fatores de vitimação secundária para a vítima. Foi adotada a metodologia qualitativa, realizaram-se 12 entrevistas com recurso a um guião semi-estruturado e posteriormente teve lugar uma análise de conteúdo temática. Os estudantes revelaram ter conhecimentos no que concerne às práticas adequadas e inadequadas para com uma vítima de crime sexual. Por oposição, demonstraram pouca apropriação do conceito teórico e do seu impacto psicológico.
The present study is integrated in the International project Financed by the European Commission SeRV - Services and Rights for Victims of Crime - (JUST-AG-2018/JUST-JACCAG-2018) through the analysis of their knowledge of its impacts on victims of sexual violence. Frequently, these victims describe traumatic experiences in the contact with the system of support, namely the police authorities, health care systems and justice system, putting them in an even more vulnerable position and intensifying their trauma. Considering that psychology students will be the future professionals in the assistance of victims, it’s of utmost importance to analyse the extent of their knowledge regarding this matter, in order to avoid them qualifying as factors of secondary victimization to the victims. It was adopted the qualitative methodology, were held 12 interviews using a semistructured script and subsequently carried out a thematic analysis of the content. The students revealed to have knowledge regarding the adequate and inadequate approach to the victims. Conversely, revealed a lack of awareness regarding the theoretical concept and its psychological impact.
