O local de trabalho é um setting privilegiado de intervenção no que se refere à proteção e à
promoção da saúde dos colaboradores.
O enfermeiro do trabalho, intervem em múltiplos contextos, tendo como finalidade a
capacitação e empowerment dos colaboradores. Deve focalizar a sua intervenção na promoção,
proteção da saúde e bem-estar dos colaboradores bem como na prevenção de acidentes e de
patologias associadas ou agravadas pelo desempenho da atividade profissional, fomentando
ambientes de trabalho saudáveis e seguros.
O estudo descritivo transversal incidiu sobre os colaboradores do Serviço de Patologia
Clínica do Centro Hospitalar de Vila Nova de Gaia/Espinho, Empresa Pública Empresarial, com o
objetivo de contribuir para a deteção e prevenção precoces de fatores de risco, bem como incentivar
a adoção de estilos de vida saudáveis. Neste contexto, foram analisados alguns determinantes de
saúde que condicionam positiva ou negativamente o estado de saúde.
Uma equipa de trabalho jovem (55 colaboradores), com uma média de idades situada nos
42,9 anos, encontrando-se distribuída por cinco categorias profissionais e onde o género feminino é
prevalente. Relativamente ao estado vacinal, 44 colaboradores têm a vacina do tétano atualizada e
33 a primovacinação completa da hepatite B. No que diz respeito ao número de refeições que
ingerem por dia, a média situou-se nas 4,7 refeições e no número de cafés, a média foi de 2,1 por
dia. A média de horas de sono por dia ficou nas 6,8 horas. Mais de metade dos colaboradores
pratica exercício físico. Referiram hábitos tabágicos 36,53% dos colaboradores. Apresentam o
índice de massa corporal dentro da variação normal 57,44% dos colaboradores; 8,51% registou
baixo peso e 34,03% apresentou risco associado de comorbilidades. Relativamente à pressão
arterial, 36 colaboradores apresentaram-se entre a TA Ótima e a TA Normal e 12 encontram-se nas
categorias de risco. O Teste Interferon Gamma Release Assays foi negativo em 39 colaboradores e
positivo em 5. Relativamente à avaliação do risco cardiovascular em 10 anos, segundo a Escala de
avaliação do risco cardiovascular de Framingham, 39 colaboradores apresentaram baixo risco, 1
risco médio e 1 alto risco para doença cardiovascular. Ainda segundo a mesma Escala, pudemos
observar que a idade real é superior à idade vascular/cardíaca em 19 colaboradores; que a idade real
é igual à idade vascular/cardíaca em 3 e que a idade real é inferior à idade vascular/cardíaca em 19.
Os dados obtidos constituíram a base do planeamento de intervenções imediatas e futuras a
serem desenvolvidas, no âmbito da Enfermagem do Trabalho, pelo Serviço de Segurança, Higiene
e Saúde no Trabalho para estes colaboradores.
The workplace is a privileged setting of intervention with regard to the protection and promotion of the health of employees. The occupational health nurses, intervenes in multiple contexts, with the purpose of training and empowerment of the employees. It should focus its assistance in the promotion, protection of health and well-being of the employees as well as the prevention of accidents and associated pathologies or aggravated by the performance of professional activity, promoting healthy and safe work environments. The cross-sectional study had his focus on employees of the Department of Pathology of the Centro Hospitalar de Vila Nova de Gaia/Espinho, Empresa Pública Empresarial, aiming to contribute to the prevention and early detection of risk factors as well as encourage the adoption of healthy lifestyles. In this context, we analyzed some health determinants, that affect positively or negatively the health status. It's a team of young labor (55 employees), the average age stands at 42,9 years, lying distributed five professional categories, where the female gender prevails. Concerning the vaccination status, 44 employees have the tetanus vaccine updated and 33 completed the primary vaccination for hepatitis B. Regarding the number of meals they eat per day, the average stood at 4,7 in the number of meals and regarding coffees the average was 2,1 per day. The average hours of sleep per day was at 6,8 hours. More than half of the employees practice physical exercise and 36,53% of the employees declared smoking habits. Presenting body mass index within the normal range, we count 57,44% of the employees, 8,51%, recorded low weight and 34,03% had associated risk of comorbidities. Regarding blood pressure, 36 employees were between the TA Great and TA Normal and 12 belong in the risk categories. The Test Interferon Gamma Release Assays, was negative in 39 and positive in 5 employees. Regarding the assessment of cardiovascular risk in 10 years, according to the rating scale of the Framingham cardiovascular risk, 39 employees were low risk, 1 medium risk and 1 high risk for cardiovascular disease. According to the same scale, we can see that the actual age is higher than the age vascular/cardiac in 19 employees, the actual age is equal to the vascular age/cardiac in 3 employees and the actual age is less than the vascular age/cardiac in 19 employees. This data formed the basis for planning immediate and future interventions to be developed under the Occupational Health Nursing by the Office of Safety and Health at Work for these employees.
